When the ancient devourer Sanavak awakens in the shadows of a crumbling city, hope flickers on the edge of extinction. Zindra, a lone sentinel cast down from the starborn order of Cyne, hides among the ruins, torn between his oath to abandon Earth and the bond he’s found with a stubborn human girl named Liyaya.
