## Chapter 29: The First Confrontation

As the shootout began between the two gangs, Ajax the Butcher, or John, moved with lightning speed. He moved through the shadows like a ghost, appearing and disappearing, taking down gang members with precise and deadly strikes. He didn't use firearms but relied on hand-to-hand combat and bladed weapons, instilling terror in the hearts of his enemies.

Lux watched him with interest. John's movements were fast and efficient, closely resembling Raven's stealth and combat skills. He realized that John was a true force, and that he would be a very valuable addition to his organization.

While John was busy eliminating the remnants of the two gangs, Lux moved. He emerged from the shadows behind John, the tattooed sword on his arm beginning to glow with a faint black shimmer.

"John," Lux said in a calm voice, yet with a tone of authority.

John abruptly stopped his movement, turning swiftly, attempting to strike at Lux. But Lux was faster. He easily dodged the blow, then gripped John's wrist with incredible strength.

"How did you know my real name?" John asked in a low voice, his eyes gleaming with danger.

"I know many things, John," Lux replied, his dark eyes staring intently at John. "And I know that you're not just a butcher. You're someone with a principle, even if it's dark."

John tried to free himself from Lux's grip, but his hold was incredibly strong. John felt a mysterious power flowing from Lux, a power he had never encountered before.

"What do you want from me?" John asked, showing some surprise.

"I don't want your head, and I don't want to hand you over to the kingdom," Lux said, releasing John's wrist. "I want to offer you a deal. A deal that will grant you power and influence, and a chance to change this world."

John looked at Lux with suspicion, then at the glowing black sword tattoo on Lux's arm. He felt the sword's power and realized that this man was no ordinary adventurer.

"A deal?" John repeated slowly. "What is this deal?"
