Biertgarden

After eight weeks, Magnus has produced and bottled his first batch of beer , about two hundred packs of fifty cl bottles which amount to 1200 bottles of beer with another set still brewing. As for the unaged whiskey and vodka , he had at least three hundred bottles each .

It was now time for distribution to begin and Magnus immediately took samples of his product to his former squad mates, they would help him promote the products by word of mouth.

He could see the look of delight on their faces as they gulped the beer .

" So Magnus , what is the cost of this ...um ... Beer.

" Just twenty tokens per bottle or nineteen if you buy in bulk." Magnus replied.

" Don't you think that it's too expensive for it's size ?" Anas asked .

" Come on Anas , you have already drank your fourth bottle, don't you think that it's worth it ." Magnus replied jokingly. It was then that Anas realized himself and knew that beer was not like ale , it was a levels above it .

Magnus still presented them with the vodka which he believed had an alcoholic content of between 60% to 75% Abv and the fruit flavored unaged whiskey for tasting.

They all enjoyed the drinks and this was not a passing mark made out of politeness , they actually enjoyed the drinks.

By the next day , work had gotten out that there was a drink that was much more stronger than ale and that Magnus was in possession of it .

At first few people came to inquire about the product, but by evening, he was selling at least two packs of beer for each person . It was like a domino effect, someone would buy either beer , vodka or white whiskey, take it home and maybe on the way home , he/ she tells someone about it or maybe shares with some friends at home . Then when their stash is depleted, they come back for more .

By the end of the month, Magnus was selling an average of twenty packs of beer per day , five bottles of vodka and ten bottles of white whiskey per day.

And with the prices being twenty tokens for the beer, fifty tokens for the vodka and ninety tokens for the white whiskey, in the first month , he made at least 110,000 tokens.

And after reinvesting twenty percent of his earnings to increase production, he was then left with 88,000 tokens . It reminded him of the first payment he got after selling a stolen car in his previous life , he never believed that he could relive such feelings again. He still had 90,000 tokens left from his loot and about 19,000 tokens from his salary making his entire cash flow to be 197,000 tokens.

Magnus could now be counted among the top twenty percent of wealthy individuals in his age range and he was surely in the top five percent of people that grew up like him in the slums .

On a cool Tuesday evening, Magnus was taking a stroll back from his patrol duties when he was approached by someone.

" Excuse me sir , may I have a moment of your time ?" The middle aged man said as he approached Magnus with little beads of perspiration running down his bald head .

The man quickly wiped of his sweat and stated his business.

" I am Mr Rance, the owner of Biertgarden. " The man said with a tinge of pride in his voice.

If course he had to be proud because Biertgarden was the largest and most popular tavern in North Berlin. It could be said that only when Biertgarden was filled up that the other tarverns could think of getting any business.

This was because the tarvern was backed by an elder of the Black Lion clan.

" And what can I do for you this evening?" Magnus asked , he showed no awe and neither did he act proud of his mage status . He just behaved as if they were two strangers talking on the streets.

" I would like you to supply Biertgarden with some of your beer, it has become popular amongst my customers." Rance replied.

Magnus couldn't believe it , he was now supplying a whole Biertgarden. He could practically feel the money he could make in his hands .

" It could be arranged." Magnus replied. " How many packs would you like to start with ? "

" We would be needing five hundred packs a month . I hope that is possible?"

" Of course." Magnus replied

" And we would be willing to spend fifteen tokens per pack due to the large amount that we would be purchasing and this includes your vodka and white whiskey. " Rance offered like a shark that he was , trying to make the most profit from less money .

" 15 tokens would offer me no profit margins, I could reduce the cost eighteen tokens."

" Sixteen..."

" Seventeen and I'll make the deliveries to the tavern."

" Deal ."

Just like that Magnus had finalized the deal. Gus revenue has reduced , but after delivery he would be walking away with 51,000 tokens just for the beer . Adding the two hundred bottles of vodka and white whiskey prices with a ten percent discount he would be getting 83,000 tokens just from this deal alone .

The next day, Magnus signed a trade contract with Biertgarden and started delivery of the products while collecting his payment.

Now he felt that the business had grown large enough to hire employees and also diversify .

No matter how strong he was , he couldn't do everything alone, he would get worn out .

Hiring employees would also help him boost production so as to enter other parts of Berlin and it would also help him venture into other industries.

With the money he has now, he could comfortably move out of the recruits dorm and get himself a nicer apartment, he could even buy a small house if he wanted but that was not on his mind, what he needed was a way to bring his dreams into reality.
