Chapter Eleven: Truth and Betrayal

The moon begins to turn red and its rise faster than it should be. Zayven feels it in his bones the beast in is waking. 

Kael says; ''You got just an hour, maybe less, if you see her don't touch her.''

Zayven answer and said; ''I don't think she still want me.'' 

Back at the crystal prison, Elnare memories sharpen she sees; ''Zayven's claws ripping someone throat out in a fit of rage, a cursed child crying, it was an accident.'' 

She panicked, scared and said; ''He destroyed someone like me.'' 

Their connection flares up again and this time is too strong to resist. They meet at the edge of a broken mirror world , her light glows dim, he pulsing with unstable energy. 

Zayven steps forward and said; ''You are safe....'' She interrupts saying; ''Did you kill him?''

Zayven answer and said; ''He once had a brother, also marked. He couldn't control the curse when it awakened. When he first shift, he killed his brother, the one who wore the pendant. I tried to bury it, to forget, but it lives inside of me.''

She steps back, tears rolling down . ''You lied to me, you said you didn't know y you were cursed.'' Zayven answered in tears i wanted to protect you.'' She said you wanted to protect yourself.'' She turns and leave the dream shatters.

Elnare wakes in her cage, but the chains are cracking.

Zayven wakes in the forest, trembling. Kael sees the blood red moon and backs away saying; ''It is too late. You are breaking.''

Zayven's chest mark burns black, his hands twist, his claws all out his body fractures like glass.

He screams her name, but she did not answer. Kael tries to stop him but Zayven throws him aside and runs blindly into the forest. 

In her cage, Elnare whisper; ''I trusted you.''

In the burning woods, Zayven falls, bones breaks, eyes glowing. The bond shatters. 

''And as the blood moon crowned the sky, their bond broke and the curse claimed its heir.''
