First Subordinate - I

‎Seven years have passed.

‎I've completed my noble education and officially became a rookie swordman.

‎Oh yeah! I also found out that every species has its own power ranking system.

‎Human measure strength like this.

‎- Rookies can destroy some building's.

‎- Knight's can destroy an entire town.

‎- Knight Commander can wipe out a whole city.

‎- Royal knights can destroy a country.

‎- Emperors can destroy a continent.

‎- Transcendents can destroy the entire world.

‎Humans including emperor and transcendent levels into their power ranking system is ironic considering there is no human that has ever reached emperor or transcendent level.

‎I guess these levels exist to measure threats against humanity, especially since monsters are roaming around the world.

‎Speaking of power, I'm just one step away from gaining a super cool overpowered cheat ability.

‎[Arc: Childhood Arc.

‎Description: Familiarize yourself with the world, learn nobles manners, swordsmanship and get loyal subordinates.

‎Reward: Law of Death]

‎I already familiarised myself with this world, learned noble manners, became a rookie swordsman and now I just have to find my first sidekick.

‎Obviously it's going to be an elf. It's a must Isekai fantasy protagonist team part. It looks like I need to go to the market today where I can easily find one.

‎Okay then! Let's go to the market today and buy some elves.

‎Every continent in this world is mostly home to one or few species except one the western continent, home of the humans here. We welcome every species with open chains and cages.

‎Uhmm Uhmm.... typical medical humanity.

‎We love to coexist as long.... as they're for sale.

‎I put on an elegant coat to feel like a noble and leave my room like a boss.

‎"Rine, are all the preparations completed." Arthur asked with a serious tone.

‎"Yes Young master" Rine replied.

‎As I descend down the stairs, I spot my mom standing at the front door.

‎"Good morning, you look as beautiful as ever mom" I compliment my mom with my most charming smile.

‎When I say my mom is beautiful, I really mean it.

‎Her name is Lily Pendragon. She is in her 30's but still looks young. Her violent hair, red eyes, white smooth skin all contribute to her beauty, this is where I get most of my genes.

‎"Thank you Arthur, you look great as well are you going for shopping today.... without telling me." my mom asked with a smile so fake that I can feel her anger.

‎But wait, how does she find out?

‎Ahhh, I turn my head and glare at Rine.

‎She immediately turned her head, started looking at the wall pretending to be fascinated by absolutely nothing while whistling.

‎Is she a maid or a spy hired by my mother to monitor my every move.

‎"Mom, I was just about to tell you" I said in the most cutest and innocent tone I have ever used.

‎My mom bent down to her knees and gently placed her hands on my shoulders.

‎"It's ok!" she said with a smile. "I heard you want to buy an elf," Lily asked.

‎I froze for a second.

‎I clenched my fist so hard, I almost invented diamond and wanted to punch Rine in the face. That bitch forget firing her, I will execute her, telling my secrets to mom.

‎I gave side eyes to her, but she pretended like she didn't hear a thing.

‎I walked down the exit stair and sat down in the carriage.

‎This was my first time leaving the mansion. As the carriage moved through the city, I can tell the city was in terrible condition with potholes in the road and no maintenance.

‎I stopped by a slave merchant who was standing at the door to welcome me, the carriage stopped at his shop door.

‎Rine opened the door and I stepped out of the carriage, the slave merchant and his employees bowing down.

‎"Welcome young master Arthur Pendragon," the slave merchant said with a dramatic bow.

‎He took us to the VIP room and served me a glass of wine. I'm surprised that he served a 10 year old me wine. well there is no age restriction on this planet. But why did he serve me wine in a juice glass?

‎Still, I took the glass lean back to the sofa swirled it trying to be cool and take a sip....

‎Gulp.

‎"Uhmm Uhmm"

‎It's the berry juice not wine that what you called expectations kill always, I am disappointed slave owner-kun.

‎"My name is Charley"

‎"Young master, what kind of slave do you want to get." Charley asked.

‎"A beautiful strong blond elf swordwoman" I replied.

‎"A beautiful strong blond elf swordwoman" Charley repeated.

‎Charley signalled his assistant after that the assistant left the room.

‎"Wait a minute my Lord," Charley said.

‎After a few minutes the assistant returned with a line up of elf women, all extremely beautiful, tall, talented and former warriors of their own villages.

‎"Uhhh! Who should I choose" This was harder than choosing a starter Pokemon.

‎"Rine! Can we buy all of them"

‎Rine calmly shook her head and said "No! Young master we are broke--- I mean we can't."

‎Just say it.

‎"Just say it we're broke" I scream in my mind.

‎I stand from the sofa and walk close to the elves, "Ahhh none of them are the type that I want".

‎"Do you have more."

‎"I am extremely sorry to say, but young master this is all I have right now" Charley said.

‎"Ok! Then I'm leaving"

‎"What! Doesn't it suit your taste, young master" Charley said.

‎"Uhmm" I nodded.

‎"I am deeply sorry to disappoint you," Charley said in an apologetic tone.

‎"It's ok"

‎After that, I headed home as the carriage moving through the streets suddenly something caught my eye someone wearing a black hood moving at incredible speed through the buildings.

‎A smile appeared on my face.

‎"I can't believe the duke's child did not buy anything, I tried to infiltrate his circle by making him buy me and then assassinate him, but he didn't purchase me or any elves, not even when he came specially to get one."

‎"I have to assassinate him, his carriage wouldn't be far by now, I have to reach him before he enters the palace."

‎Arthur jumps from the ground to the building roof, then leaps toward the hood person.

‎hood figure was attached by Arthur from the right side, but he blocked the strike at the last moment.

Their swords clashed and the hood figure was sent flying several feet backward.

‎As the hood figure landed, the wind blew the hood off revealing the face.
