First Subordinate - II

‎As the wind blew the hood of the person's head it revealed the person's face.

‎She is a young elf about my age, maybe 11 years old with blonde hair, smooth white skin, emerald eyes and most importantly she knows how to wield a sword.

‎Finally, I've found it, the perfect elf.

‎"Nice to meet you, what should I call you"

‎"Thanks for saving me the trouble of finding you" she said "Call me whatever you want It's doesn't matter, since you're going to die anyway." she said.

‎"Ahhhh! Scary"

‎She leaned back sightly and lunged at me with incredible speed our sword clashes at incredible speed spark's flying at each strike.

‎After an intense exchange of blows, she jumped back.

‎"I never imagined that a child like you could be this strong," she said.

‎"Excuse me, we are both children"

‎She bent down again to attack.

‎Okay, This is not going as I imagined, what kind of event is this?

‎Is this the kind of event where the heroine needs the protagonist's help and I heroically save her and then she swears eternal loyalty to me and becomes my elf sidekick?

‎Or....

‎ She was hired by someone to kill me event.

‎Or...

‎She wanted to kill me for some personal backstory reason event.

‎Which one is it?

‎While I was busy having my sword fight with the elf, my carriage had peacefully arrived at the grand gates of Pendragon mansion.

‎"Ahhh! What a long day.... the young master didn't buy anything." Rine sighed as she stretched her back with a groan.

‎She casually opened the door to announce our arrival "Young master we have arrived at the--" she froze, her eyes widened in shock.

"The mansion....." she whispered in horror as her eyes twitching.

‎.....

‎"Huh...."

‎She slowly closed the door.

‎Then reopen it again "Young master we are at home----"

‎"..."

‎From the stairs another maid peeked down "What happened".

‎"I think.... we dropped the young master somewhere along the way" Rine muttered as her soul vibrated.

‎"HUHHH?! What! Is the toy that you dropped on the way" the other maid shouted in disbelief.

‎"This is it….." Rine clutching her chest "Thanks for everything everyone, My time has come Bury me next to the laundry line, I liked the breeze there".

‎"Oi! Don't give up already, let's go find the young master, I'll help." another maid said.

‎Rine nodded, they both ran to find me.

‎On this side, I am still dealing with this elegant barbaric elf which keeps attacking me. It looks like I have to get serious.

‎"Poor thing" I said while dodging a slash, "You don't even realize you're being manipulated."

‎She stopped "What do you mean".

‎I smirked, "They send you to kill me, right and they probably promise to offer you something in return, I hate to break it to you but they're are not giving you anything."

‎"You're wrong, they will give me the reward as long as I can bring back your head, How about we make a deal." the elf said

‎"Deal, I like it, say what you want."

‎"You give me your head and you can keep the rest of your body I don't need it." the elf said with a straight face.

‎... Silence.

‎My eyes narrowed as my tiny brain cells processed what she just said.

‎Huh! Does this elf have some screws loose?

‎"You said you liked the deal so I can take your head right?" she asked with a total straight face.

‎"Wait"

‎"Why wait, I think I give you a fairoffer," the elf said.

‎"Fair my ass, you are the only one who think that fairs"

‎"If you want my head come and get it"

‎"You're strong, sharp I admit it... you're worthy of your bounty" the elf said.

‎"Huh! Bounty?" I blinked. Wait, what bounty?.

‎The elf eyes narrowed as she gave me the puzzle look.

‎"Ahh! Bounty, of course, I totally know that yes... Yes yes." I pretend like I know it, staying calm from the outside, keeping a poker face.

‎Meanwhile in my head I was screaming "WHAT BOUNTYYYYY", who put a bounty on my head, unforgivable.

‎That explains why she won't leave. I'm a walking gold bar to her, If she actually kills me, she definitely receives the bounty.

‎"I gave you double whatever they offered" I raised my hand forward for her to grab.

‎"Who? You? Your family's broke, "the elf said.

‎The elf word hurt more than a pierce arrow on the heart.

‎"Don't underestimate my family's potential wealth"

‎"So, you are saying.... you can pay me 1 million, "the elf said.

‎"Wha- wha- what? 1 million UNI" this is equivalent to the annual tax of an entire province, who put this much bounty on my head.

‎The elf narrowed her eyes and gave me a suspicious look.

‎I forced a grin, sweet pouring down my face.

‎"Hah! Just 1 million I wipe my nose with 1 million".

‎"You wipe your nose with 1 million coins? Wouldn't that hurt like scratching so many coins to your face" she asked tilted her head with a puzzled look.

‎"Huh! She maybe a airhead or has no sense of humor, sarcasm"

‎My hand is still in the air. She walked toward me and grabbed my hand.

‎"Nice to meet you, I'm in your care now." elf said

‎"Huh! What just happened?"

‎"Now name me," the elf said.

‎"Name you why? Don't you have a name."

‎"I want to start anew," the elf said.

‎"Hmmm.... how about Aurora"

"Aurora that a good name"

‎Aurora nodded, then raised her hand as if she wanted something.

‎"What"

‎"Money," Aurora asked.

‎What should I do? I don't have any money, so I inserted my hands into my pocket and pulled out three gold coins in which she took two of them without hesitation and walked away.

‎"Huh!" Why does she take only two coin's when she asks for 1 million don't tell me she doesn't know math. I decided to pretend that I pay her in full.

‎But what Arthur didn't know was that she meant 1 million elf coins, not humans, human coins are way more valuable than elf coins.

‎So,

‎1 gold UNI coin (UNI is this human currency) = 500,000 elf coins.

‎2 gold UNI coins = 1 million elf coins.

‎That means the bounty on Arthur's head is only 2 UNI gold coins which was not even enough to buy a horse in this world.
