A King and his man flew into the underworld.
However, their wyverns began acting up just after crossing the threshold of the two realities.
They shook their heads as if fighting an invisible force. The two fellows had to jump off to the ground.
The beast's turned and flew back out of the rift. Now Flamma and Prometheus were left to walk on foot. That, across the peculiar terrain.
Lava flowed from every pore of this land. Rivers and pools of it all over. The sky filled with eerie black clouds and red hue.
There was no sun in the sky. But the darkness was parted and somewhat controlled. Most of the surroundings could still be seen.
The approached the gates of the underworld that were slightly open. A puddle of liquid came beneath the gates.
The source was from within the gates. This wasn't the lava or anything remotely similar. Upon closer inspection, this was blood.
Blood with a deepest hue of red. It's smell was strong. But what was unbelievable was the amount of it.
"What in God's holy name happened here?" Flamma couldn't help but call for the devine.
"The only you pray to down here is Hades. No other Deity would dare to respond to your pleas no matter how hard you may wish." Prometheus said simply as he headed inside the gate.
What was before them was a huge body of the guard dog of hell slumped to the hard unforgiving ground.
Cerberus had a sword lunged into its back. Large and deep scars had run all over the beastly dog's body. Blood dripped profusely from it's scars.
It wasn't dead. Just incapacitated and left weakened to die on its own.
The beast sensed the two intruders and rose form the ground. It was staggering, but was still feisty nonetheless.
It's three heads drooled as it looked at the two.
Prometheus drew his blade and stabbed it into the ground. Chains spawned from the beneath and bound the beast and glowed. It's wounds were sewn back, healed.
But they were shattered as easily as they were made after that.
It took a few steps closer to the duo and lowered its head. After locking eyes with Prometheus for a moment, the beast only crowled.
It looked calmer and lowered for them to ride. They wasted no time as they needed to go further into the realm. Ceberus wasted no time and rushed into the depths of the underworld.
"Forgive me for my asking Sire. But, what was so terrible in the scrolls given. You just seem restless since you saw that." Flamma finally asked his king the long awaiting question.
"Chaos my old friend. Three realms of our world have fallen. And some on the verge of such fate." The man paused for a second.
"Hy-brasil has been destroyed. Agartha has been sunked far beneath the surface of the world in an unknown space. An entire reality beyond our own. Also, the Asphodel Meadows are about to be overrun by the darkness of the underworld." Prometheus explained the problems at hand.
Each of the said places were peaceful realms. Asphodel Meadows was a place meant for peaceful souls of the underworld.
Agartha was Lumeria's trading ally. And Prometheus didn't even know when it was to be under attack.
As allies, they swore to always be assist one another. But he didn't even know where the entire country went overnight.
And lastly, Hy-brasil. An island that was akin to a heaven on earth. A place of joy and abundance. It was now gone without a trace.
"All of that happened within a span of only a few hours. Not even a day has passed. You can imagine how many have lost their lives amd loved ones." Prometheus gritted his teeth in dissatisfaction.
"What if Lemuria is the next--"
"It won't be. That, I will make sure of it mtmyself. Even if I have to give all my my power to ensure that." Prometheus sternly proclaimed.
"Cerberus..!" A deep voice echoed. Strong and dark aura spread in the air, following it.
The beast stopped charging forth and came to a halt. It spun and threw the men riding it into the air.
At that moment, a dark portal opened. Out of it shot a figure in dark clothing. He sent a fist straight for Prometheus.
The two clashed their fists and a strong shockwave spread from them. What looked like a circular spread or separating force resonated from their clash.
Another winged figure flashed behind Flamma. It spun and struck the man with its wings. Flamma blocked the attack with his gauntlets but a fist strong enough to shatter a boulder followed.
The man was sent crushing to the ground. His feet furrowed the hard surface. He felt his arms tremble from that one hit.
It not for the gauntlets, he would either have a hole in him or outright dead.
Prometheus slashed his sword to make distance with the attacker and flashed before Flamma. The two stood back to back.
"Lord Hades, we're not hostile. Please calm your rage. It is I, Prometheus, who has come to assist you." The King said to the unclear figures.
The figures merged and landed a few metres from the two men.
The one who stepped forward was the prideful king and God of the underworld, Hades himself. Of course, some may refer to him as Licifer Morningstar.
Smooth short black hair. Red eyes and rather alluring facial appearance for his title. He wore long black robes with an attire that was almost too fitting for a demon king.
"My apologies for that. I have casted a seal that allowes only souls into my domain. I am sure you are aware as to why I would do that? Given current events." Hades said to the man.
"We need to talk. He's coming. And I'm afraid this time we have to do what should have been done long ago." Prometheus said with an unexpectedly dark tone.
