In a nation where talent fades too fast and potential often goes wasted, Japanese basketball faces a crisis. Despite a passionate youth scene, no generation has yet broken through to dominate the international stage. That is, until former basketball prodigy Naoya Isurugi, once hailed as Japan’s future and now shrouded in controversy, returns with a plan that shakes the entire system.
He calls it: Project: Crossover — a brutal, elite-level training program designed to forge the strongest generation of players Japan has ever seen.
From all across the country, 120 of the most promising high school athletes are invited to a secret compound hidden within Tokyo — not just to train, but to compete, survive, and evolve. Divided into Sections, each unit must go through merciless trials where teamwork, talent, ego, and adaptability are constantly put to the test.
But this isn’t just about basketball — it’s about identity, hunger, and breaking the ceiling of what’s possible. Among these chosen youths is Ren Kisaragi, a quiet tactician from a forgotten secondary team. Overshadowed by flashier prodigies, Ren's gift isn't raw power — it's the ability to see the game like a machine. When locked into Section 6, the most volatile group in the project, Ren must decide whether he can lead — or be left behind.
As rivalries explode, alliances shift, and egos clash, one truth becomes clear:
To stand at the top, you must CROSS OVER everything you were before.
Friendship will break. Talent will burn. And only the ones who adapt can stand on the world stage.
Welcome to PROJECT: CROSSOVER — Where Legends are Born or Broken.
