I don’t even know where to start… this novel hit me in ways I didn’t expect. Bjorn is one of the most broken yet relatable characters I’ve read in a while. His pain is raw. You feel it. The way the story builds around his trauma, and then throws him into a world ruled by sins?? Chills. Literal chills. The orb world is terrifying and mysterious, and the way the factions reflect human darkness is genius. Every chapter has this heavy, haunting vibe that just sticks with you. I came here for a fantasy story. I stayed for the emotion, the fights, the mind games, the messed up witch, and the way this novel punches you in the gut emotionally.
