Pursuing Peace
For an assassin employed by a government agency, the world of One Piece was his only solace. A comfort that bled into his work, compelling him to one day spare a penitent target. Two years later, a quiet check-in revealed the consequence of his mercy: the target had built a joyful family. The sight of their profound happiness ignited a deep desire within the assassin he never knew he had; a yearning for a similar life.
So he retired. Much to the agency's disapproval.
Not a week later, a drone strike ensured his story ended.
Yet death was not the end. He awoke before an old man in a white suit who offered him a chance to live the life his employers had denied him; in the world of One Piece, the place that brought him solace.
A solace that could only survive if the World Government fell.

Here I am with my second shameless self-review, and I hope everyone's doing well. My goal for Pursuing Peace is to take what I learned from writing my first story and apply it here.
