Proof

In the morning, Han Jin and the others left the town quietly. Cessacioun had mentioned the night before that he had said some harsh words to the security team and the Garrison members. Although these words were laughed at by the soldiers, this may have created an unknown threat for himself. Han Jin even jokingly judged his behavior as immature.

However, Michelle was a timid guy and cried all night long. He knew that George was a petty and brutal person who liked to exterminate all of his enemies. What would they do if George came to find them?

In the end, Han Jin made the decision to leave the town and head to the West City for a few days. On one hand, they could get rid of George and on the other hand, they could help Miss Keeley find the Morgan Commercial Corps in the West City. At such crucial moments where the upper class of the Morgan Commercial Corps was suffering such a serious crisis, would they still have control over their branches? Whether its internal structure could withstand the test would be cleared up after this trip to the west city.

They were all in surprisingly good spirits except for Michelle. Moxinke was an impatient guy, but he was adaptable to circumstances. Cessacioun was an experienced man who had good self-control. Nobody mentioned anything from the night before. Although nothing was said, the thorn had been deeply buried in their hearts. Avoidance was by no means the same as forgetting.

They didn't stop till noon and Han Jin felt a little tired. He slept late last night to absorb energy from two second-grade magic crystals. He made a fire charm and a thunder charm by using the pure elements respectively. He still only had one fire charm made of wood because he couldn't afford the six hundred yuan's energy to make another one.

As they ventured, they found an open-air tavern before them. After consulting everyone's opinions, Han Jin went directly into the tavern. The tavern was merely just a small refreshment spot ran by the nearby villagers. There were no tables, no chairs and only a few stones around the tree stumps.

The food that was served was just coarse-grain bread and broken bowls filled with river water. Such shabby food had actually cost them over ten copper coins, but they didn't argue with the owners of the tavern as none of them intended to eat or drink a lot here. They just wanted a place to rest.

Not long after they sat down, they saw a group of knights riding towards them at an extremely fast speed, causing dust to fly everywhere around them.

Cessacioun looked at the group and his expression changed immediately. Upon seeing this, Han Jin asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

"They were there at the Bazaar yesterday..."

"What?!" Michelle exclaimed in panic. "We have to leave immediately!"

"What are you afraid of?!" Moxinke gave Michelle a look of discontentment.

Han Jin mused for a while. Before he could answer, the knights had already arrived at the tavern. They jumped down from their horses and sat by some tree stumps. They didn't even notice the group that was beside them. It was obvious they just wanted to have a rest here, like Han Jin and his friends.

One of the knights turned around and saw Cessacioun. He blinked his eyes and whispered something to the man beside him. Then, they all looked at Cessacioun and burst out laughing. It seemed that not only did Cessacioun remember them, they even remembered him along with his words.

Han Jin didn't change his expression but lowered his voice and asked, "Do you think you can handle them, Sunier?"

Sunier was stunned at first but then answered, "They have a magician as their leader. If you can deal with the magician first, then the rest will be a piece of cake."

"Are we going to do it?" Moxinke had an excited expression.

"No, just in case. It's better if we can avoid fighting." Han Jin shook his head slightly. "Get some rest because we will be setting off soon."

The knights showed no intention of getting into trouble, either. They had forgotten about Cessacioun a few minutes later and started chatting on their own. Their topics while drinking would always revolve around women and sex. Soon, dirty and filthy words were blurted out. One of them even tried to imitate a woman's sexual moans which made them laugh even louder.

Sunier knitted her brows and tried her best to control her emotions but Keeley couldn't stand them anymore and shot them a distasteful glance.

The knights didn't notice Keeley initially because she was sitting with her back facing them. But now, her glance had made them feel dumbfounded. One of the knights whispered something to his leader and then strode towards her.

"Dear Miss, our general would like to be friends with you. May I have the honor of inviting you for a drink?" Although the Knight sounded polite, his actions were very rude. His hand reached out, aiming to grab Keeley's arm.

Rudeness was one of their habits. As knights from the army group were direct subordinates of the West City, they represented their country's power and were their embodiment of justice. No one dared to resist them unless it was a superior from another group.

"What are you doing? Get out of my sight!" Miss Keeley screamed.

Moxinke stretched his arm to grab his sword, but was immediately stopped by Han Jin. He winked at him, hinting him not to act irrationally.

The knight felt offended as he heard the laughter from his companions. A cold gaze flashed across his eyes. He backed his hand and intended to draw out his whip.

"My lord, my sister is young and ignorant. Could you please forgive her?" Han Jin stood up in a hurry and intervened. "Let me persuade her and send her to you in a few minutes, okay?"

The knight looked at Han Jin. He felt that something was different about this young man but he didn't know what on earth it was. Since his dignity had been saved, he didn't want to make things worse. He snorted and turned back. He didn't notice that the thing missing on Han Jin's face was, in fact, the respect for a superior.

Han Jin sat down again. He put his hand on Miss Keeley's shoulder as if he was persuading her. "Get ready," he said to them.

"I knew it." Moxinke grinned.

"You... Are you out of your mind?" Michelle said in a quavering voice.

"You mean to say that we should hand Miss Keeley over to them?" Han Jin sneered.

"They only want to have a drink with her, it's not even dangerous… Calm down!"

"Actually, one needs only one reason to march forward, but a hundred reasons to retreat." Han Jin gave Michelle a meaningful look. "I am curious as to why people would rather find a hundred reasons for the entire day to prove himself a coward than to find only one reason to prove his courage!"

Han Jin was not an aggressive man in nature but he was a man who should never be oppressed. The moment he gets triggered, he would definitely return the favor. In his dictionary, there was no such thing as being lenient wherever possible. The end of any of his fights must be either life or death.

All of them stared at him. He didn't utter any brave words such as 'rather die than surrender' or 'I would fight as long as I am still alive'. In fact, what he said was very rational, but it's precisely these rational words that stimulated their morale. Their spirits were highly boosted.

"Can you do it? Or do you want me to do it?" Cessacioun said lightly. He was clear with what Han Jin had planned to do. He had to kill the magician first for Sunier.

"Rest assured." Han Jin smiled and then whispered something to Keeley.
