In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

After a slight itch transmitted from the palm of his hand, the second scale, and then the third and many more rapidly emerged at a speed visible to the naked eye.


In the blink of an eye, Liu Ming's entire palm was wrapped in a layer of crimson scales that emitted a faint red glow, yet there wasn't a trace of any other aura on them, as if the scales were naturally part of him.

He discovered that the source of these dragon scales emerged when his magic power stimulated the palm, causing specks of crystal-clear and red light to spontaneously appear beneath the skin and flesh, which then transformed into the current crimson scales as they surfaced.
