Teodulo was on the verge of insanity, driven mad by anger and desperation.
It had been a very long time since Teodulo had personally joined a battle, and the number of fights he had commanded in recent years was few, but his courage and experience as a seasoned warrior were still there.
When he heard Chameleon outside yelling about an ambush, Teodulo took it very seriously, even though Chameleon said the enemy might not be many. Teodulo still gathered all his men to prepare to wipe out the unidentified enemies in one fell swoop.
What took Teodulo by surprise was that while his men were still assembling, the enemy attacked, and what he never expected was that although there were only a dozen or so of them, they completely overwhelmed his battle-hardened elite soldiers.
