Gao Yang now knew three things.
First, Number Thirteen and Murphy were quite familiar with each other. Second, Number Thirteen and Murphy often came to this coffee shop, or rather, to this restaurant. Third, he knew where the waitress had learned the words she had said to him.
If there was a fourth, it would be that Number Thirteen was obviously quite liked by that waitress.
"I don't like to waste either, and besides, eating too quickly is bad for your health."
Gao Yang didn't know what to say. After blurting out something rather odd, Number Thirteen actually agreed, "Eating too quickly is indeed not good, but if you don't eat fast enough, there will be nothing left to eat."
Without needing to ask or say, it was obvious from just one look at how Number Thirteen ate that he had known hunger, and moreover, with the way he was eating, he must have received some kind of training.
