Until one day, a young man was finally summoned, as a powerful but reluctant mentor, by a bubbly and motivated but completely naive young girl. Baiyi, finally out of the Void, was the only one who could save all of the other 32 souls from their prison and his summoner might just be The Key to their freedom.
However, Baiyi had to use the techniques and abilities the other souls had taught him throughout the years, and together with his own extensive knowledge of anime and game tropes from his shady and dangerous past as an otaku, to face the biggest challenge of them all: training the clumsy young girl he was forced to partner up with… into a competent sorcerer!

Why Did You Summon Me？

The High Priest's arrogance seemed to have vanished after talking to the Cleric Walker. The old man, who now called himself an apprentice, happily presented to the Archmage all the information he had on angels and angel-summoning. This included the design of the angel-summoning formation.

As the Scholar Walker poured through this information, she gasped. "The sheer magnitude! It is almost impossible to replicate this. I figured that the Church had sacrificed a lot even before the ritual began."

The formation complex was so large that it could cover a large city, so it had to be supported by a huddle of churches. This was only the first of many difficult demands, though. Only someone that completely blinded by their faith could embark on such a project.

Only the Ancient Rohlserlian Empire's magic complex was bigger than this angel-summoning magic complex, but the same amount of technical expertise and skill was required to construct both magic complexes.
