Walking through the now oddly desolate streets towards the police station with only the occasional passerby, Nemesis couldn't help but wonder where everyone went. Scanning for any [Void Conduits], he sensed no large amass of them and only stray ones in the buildings around him.
'I guess they're all elsewhere.' Was all he thought about the situation.
Hurrying his pace, soon the police station was in sight. It was quite hard to miss due to it being the only near building with a large amass of [Void Conduits] in an enclosed area. That and the fact that the building was quite large with the unique insignia of the [Styrlheim Police Station] and the words visible from afar.
Knowing it wasn't the time to examine the structure and that he would have all the time next time he returns to [Styrlheim] and the fact that he realised how he was unsure of how long he could spend here. He didn't know if he had 1 minute left or even 1 full day, he just wished to see the end of this story as soon as possible to understand why exactly he was here in [Styrlheim] before he wreaked havoc and left no survivors.
'I'm guessing that it is to see the lives of the ones I killed, however, why [Styrlheim] first? Why exactly am I being shown this, is there perhaps another reason other than to see the lives of the ones I've ruined? Why have I such an ominous feeling about what is about to come up? Ugh... the only way to understand what exactly is happening is to go forward and hope that the [Void] shall explain to me exactly why once I'm finished this... I hope.'
With that, Nemesis rushed towards the police station, bursting through the entrance, frightening the employee at the reception desk and the other guests within the police station.
Nemesis ignoring the shocked and frightened look of the employee at the reception stared at the only other people within the station.
A total of 6 demons, four of which were standing in between him and the final two. The four before him were of varying races, [Blood Stalker], [Frost Tempest], [Fallen Angel] and what surprised Nemesis the most, a beastkin of what his [Void Conduit] told him, the wolf pack.
"Such impudence, to think that a savage child like that is allowed to burst into the police station, guards, remove him from my sight." The male spoke, waving away in the direction of the child.
The [Blood Stalker] and beastkin nodded, as they walked up to Nemesis, which Nemesis countered with a simple sentence.
"Are you aware, Mister Lanister of how frightening a [Vampire's Mark] is? Especially for a virgin succubus. Oh, they are quite a treat for them indeed."
"Stop," Mister Lanister ordered to which the two guards ceased their movement, awaiting additional commands, before Mister Lanister continued, "kid, what are you on about? You have 5 seconds of my time to explain what you mean precisely or else you shall face my fury."
"Well, we can consider Lisa fortunate that some 'kid', as you call it, was there to stop him from adding another to his Familia."
"Alright then, I understand your priorities ki.... youth, you shall be rewarded handsomely for protecting her, I shall not ask any questions as to how you saved her, only if she returns safely. But before that, answer me this, where is she?" Mister Lanister asked, the last sentence spoken full of worry. It shocked Nemesis due to how worried he seemed yet didn't send one of his guards to look after either Lily or Lisa.
"Oh... well Mister Lanister, I need no reward, I simply did it to protect her." Nemesis shook his hands and head furiously, whilst thinking to himself. 'I was the cause of her being separated from her family anyway, though it makes me wonder, what the [Vampire]'s plan was if she stayed with her family the entire time... why am I asking myself that, I know exactly what he'd do... Guess it is fortunate that she followed me.'
Mister Lanister thinking that the youth before him didn't wish for any material reward couldn't help but examine the youth more carefully and being shocked by his apparel. The intricate design of the insignia upon his chest, the smooth black fibres upon his suit, the youth's dual coloured vibrant eyes but the thing which made him suspicious the most being the youth's extremely pale skin. Due to the heat and everlasting crimson sun within the sky, most common demons had more tanned skin. Few had paler skin which showed nobility or being from the [Frozen Lands], a place where no sun shone.
He couldn't help but think that the youth before him looked a lot like a [Vampire] in terms of attire and appearance, but before he could speak his thoughts, the door to the station opened revealing
Lisa and Lily. The two looked around before running to their parents, arms wide open to which they both reciprocated hugging the two of them, their father muttering soft thanks and words such as, "Oh thank [Hytherflugen] you're safe. You're not hurt, are you Lisa? Nothing bad happened now, you're alright. Daddy is here to protect you. And Lily, you're brave to go look for your little sister. You're so great, amazing! You two-"
The scene brought a smile to Nemesis' face and he didn't wish to interrupt this one, not that he could gain the opportunity for a phone call at the reception desk interrupted their reunion as he did with Lily and Lisa's reunion.
Unsure on answering the call or not in the presence of a noble, the guard asked in a shaky voice, "C-can I answer the call, sir?"
Unpleased at the call though knowing that it would be quite selfish to risk the lives of the civilians of [Styrlheim] just so he could further whisper praises to his two daughters and that it would be quite bad for publicity if they were the cause for some disturbance not being dealt with immediately, he obliged and nodded his head in affirmation.
"Go ahead and answer, it is your job at the reception desk, is it not?"
Picking up the phone and accepting the call, the employee spoke the greeting, "Hello this is the [Styrlheim Central Police Department], do you require any assistance?"
The employee's face grew dim as he began to whisper his words, though that didn't stop Nemesis from hearing the entire conversation.
"[Code 111]. I repeat [Code 111]" The voice spoke hurriedly and frightened.
"[Code 111]. Is it that bad? What's happened?" The employee asked.
"At the southern entrance, some... some monster burst through the gates destroying the entire gateway and killing all-" The voice was interrupted by screaming soon followed by the sound of a loud slam which not only Nemesis heard but everyone in the room.
Before anyone could respond, the voice spoke one last time, this time in a strained, weak voice, words so quiet they could be considered a whisper.
"Bahh..." the voice coughed roughly, soon followed by the sound of liquids leaving his mouth. "Se... send backup... it... it will destroy Styrl... fare... life... for... -heim..."
The employee's hand trembled in fear, the voice no longer speaking and only the sound of screams of terror, magic spells being cast, gunfire and a burst of chilling demonic laughter being emitted from it.
Nemesis froze upon hearing the bone-chilling laughter. It was familiar... extremely familiar, however, something was odd about the fact that it existed.
"Wait... what?" Nemesis mumbled, eyes staring at the direction of where the call originated, the southern entrance of [Styrlheim].
He knew he had to hurry and thus quickly summoned a [Void Gate] before him, the Lanisters still shocked at the loud noise from the phone and were whispering to each other their thoughts couldn't help but let out a gasp of horror due to the appearance of an unknown vortex within the centre of the room.
Wasting no time, Nemesis ran towards the [Void Gate], entering it. The last thing he heard from the reception room being Lisa shouting, "No wait!" Before thrusting himself into a familiar scene, one which he remembered dearly, for all the wrong reasons. A place which was the beginning for earning the title of [Void Walker], a being where once he sweeps by, his presence known to all, life shall cease to exist in his proximity.
Upon reaching the southern exit, seeing a dark, shadowy object thrust forth and before he knew it, his body was moving instinctively.
