Black Desert Region

As Chang Guan looked forwards, a large city popped into view. No matter how you looked at him, he was a 14-year-old boy, clearly unfit to be travelling by himself. But yet...

"Wooah, Greyhold city..."

The city nearest to the Purple Forest region's border - Greyhold city. Having finally reached here was proof of Chang Guan's success.

He had finally reached the Black Desert region!

Chang Guan started running towards the city. He saw carriages, entering and exiting the city, in almost all directions but his.

None of the carriages was led by horses or anything similar. Instead, the overwhelming majority of them led by a strange six-legged creature.

The creature had 3 eyes and a horn on top of their comparably small heads, and there were about 2 of them pulling each carriage. they moved at least 3 times faster than ordinary horses despite only being about half the size.

"Identification please."

Chang Guan was slightly shocked by the question but after but a moment it made sense to him. `Of course, they want a form of identification from me...´

Chang Guan turned and looked the speaker in the eyes, becoming unbelievably shocked in the process. A mature woman popped into sight. That was normal. What wasn't normal was her outstanding appearance.

`Pure white skin, Large eyes, and a goose egg face... Dear God!´

No matter how Chang Guan thought about it, this woman was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen. In fact, the only person he could think of the top of his head was,

`Ryuu Mami...´

It took Chang Guan about a second before he realized that he had been talked to. Finally responding clumsily,

"Uhh, um, no, I don't have one."

"You don't?" The woman raised an eyebrow, "In which case you will have to make one. Please go up those stairs, take the first left and continue forward." as she was talking she pointed behind Chang Guan.

"Alright, thank you."

The woman kept a professional smile on her face, as she replied "No problem. Just remember that you need 5 silv-"

"Understood!" He interrupted her and quickly turned around, walking towards the stairs.

As he got up the stairs, he was stunned.

"What is this, a labyrinth?"

His mouth twitched slightly before following the woman's instructions, taking the first left. As he was walking, he noticed something peculiar.

"How come it's bright?"

Chang Guan looked to the right and left, but nowhere in his sight was any sort of light source. Curious, he expanded his Qi sense, and in doing so, he managed to feel a warm, yet slightly familiar form of Qi.

`Thi- This is, Ninjutsu Qi?! NO, not quite, but it's definitely similar. Extremely similar...´

About 90% similarity to the Qi he cultivates, that was Chang Guan's conclusion.

"Well, I should probably keep on moving."

Chang Guan didn't know when, but at some point, he had stopped moving and stood in place contemplating the light.

*Tip*

*Tap*

Chang Guan heard only his own footsteps. Before long, he was stood in front of a door. The door had a sign, on which was written `Identification´.

"This should be the place..."

*Knock, knock!*

"Come in..."

A gloomy vice came from behind the door. Chang Guan felt like he could imagine the kind of person the speaker was, based solely on his voice.

`Probably a lazy fat boy disappointed with life... But I should probably be polite anyway.´

*Creeeaaaak*

The door let out a horrendous creak as it was opened, sounding surprisingly similar to a banshee screeching at its death throes.

`Ohhh?´

Chang Guan felt shocked as he opened the door. Inside was a neat room. It had a couple of bookshelves by the wall, each of which was filled with books.

In the middle of the room stood a desk, behind which sat a handsome man - about 20 years old. He had a clouded face and was writing on a piece of paper, as Chang Guan entered.

He continued writing for about 20 seconds until he put the pare and looked up at Chang Guan's face. Then, he asked questioningly,

"You are..."

Hearing this seemingly pointless question, Chang Guan cringed slightly and answered with a hint of sarcasm,

"How about you take a guess."

"Hmm, need an identification?" He answered after a moment of deliberation, "Am I right?"

"Of course you are...", Chang Guan answered with a tinge of disappointment in his voice. Although it was well hidden, it clearly didn't slip past the gloomy man, as his eyes narrowed. This continued for but a moment when he said,

"Ok! Tell me your basic information. Then we'll take a picture of you and compile the information into your identification", Then, his eyes narrowed revealing a sly look, "Any problem with this?"

"Hmm, none..."

"Good, then it's settled! You are?"

"Name, Chang Guan. Birthday..."

***

"That was pretty simple..."

A cheerful Chang Guan was casually walking down the street. He quickly pulled something out of his pocket. A slip of paper.

At the very front of the paper, was his name - Chang Guan.

This was his identification. It didn't take much effort to make, and once it was made, he was able to easily enter Greyhold city.

What shocked Chang Guan the most about this city, excluding the large amount of cultivation based goods, were the people!

No matter where he went, everyone was gorgeous. In fact, most of the people he met even outshone the woman who had asked him for his identification.

He wondered why this was the case - why all of the men were extremely handsome and all of the women were so gorgeous.

`Hm, what's this?´

In front of Chang Guan stood a large building. On its signboard was written in large words `1,000 Faces Cosmetics´

"Ahhhhh, so that's how it is... That, all of a sudden, makes a lot of sense."
