Well, that’s all true. But for me is playing the game you like and still get money or get paid for it.

Hua Shu, a university student and game otaku, get invitation to become beta tester for a new game along with 3 his roommates. The new games title is “Zombie Hunter” take setting in after apocalypse world where zombies and mutants roaming all around the world. The tester who manages to survive until the test period ends will get ample bonus and prize.
Wait, doesn’t it sound so normal? Like ordinary game you play?

But not in this story.
Why? What’s the secret? What’s the hint?
Sorry, no spoiler, just read until the end.

Zombie Hunter

2 days later at ZO International Ltd. office's meeting room. 


Miss Xia Lan, the previous host, already standby in the site, accompanied by a man in his 40's which have aura like a scientist. After all participants arrive, the event is begun. Miss Xia Lan accompanied with that man step up to the platform. There's some spherical things covered by black cloth in the middle of platform.


Xia Lan : "Hello everybody, I'm Xia Lan, we meet again in this joyful event. First of all, I'm congratulating you all for passing the selection test. Second, we have certain issues that require your consent before we go to testing site. Our staff will give you the forms that need you to sign as approval for our term and conditions. Please read it carefully, and if you have any question about the form content, please ask. If the question related with technical matter, my colleague here, Mr. Siang Ma Lam, will answer it. Take your time before you decide to sign it".


ZO company's staffs start to distribute the form to the participants. The form consist of several pages that makes participant must take some times to understand its contents. Basically this form similar with working contract, there's some duty and rights for tester, reward and penalty for accomplishment and failure, also some condition that must fulfill by tester. Participants start to discuss the form among them. Murmuring and muttering sounds can be heard here and there. Our four buddies also begin to discussing this form, Hua Shu become the most person who questioned by his buddies.


Jing An : "Bro, should we sign it right away? The reward is so juicy"


Hua Shu : "Calm down, let's review this form first"


1. Beta tester will be working in ZO International Ltd. testing site for 3 weeks without absent.


2. Beta tester cannot leave testing site during beta test. Any attempt to leave testing site equal to termination of contract.


3. To prevent information leakages, beta tester must hand over their communication devices to ZO Company and prohibited to contact anyone outside ZO Company during beta testing by any means. Their communication devices will be returned after completion of the test.


4. Beta tester prohibited to inform any content of the game to outside party after testing ended until the game officially released.


5. Beta tester that failed in the middle of the test because physical or health issues are illegible to receive full reward that promised by Company, instead will be paid according duration of his/her works.


6. Beta tester shall obey instructions from ZO Staff that appointed to supervise the testing. Any disobedience can resulted beta tester to be terminated from the test.


Jing An : "Bro A Shu, is that means we can't going anywhere when we doing the test?"


Jing An : "I'm feeling like I'm in jail"


Hua Shu : "C'mon, it's not like we lock up in a narrow and damp cell prison. We just can't get out from testing area. I think they just being cautious"


Hua Shu : "Because this involving money in not small number. The technology involved, the resources, the market for gamers. Imagine if the tester found out that this game is so awesome and will attract many user. If they succeed to capture the market, their stock prices will skyrocket. So, what happens if a tester contacts a stockbroker and ordering him to buy this company's stock before the game released?"


Jing An : "He can be very rich when the stock price rise highly!"


Hua Shu : "That's it. Seems you learn something in business class brother Jing"


Jing An : "My brains is not an accessories bro!"


Hua Shu : "I'm not the one who said that" (chuckled)


Mu Kui : "Chill out bro…so can we agree on that six points of contract?"


Jing An, Hua Shu, Jan Cox : "No problem!!"
