Well, that’s all true. But for me is playing the game you like and still get money or get paid for it.

Hua Shu, a university student and game otaku, get invitation to become beta tester for a new game along with 3 his roommates. The new games title is “Zombie Hunter” take setting in after apocalypse world where zombies and mutants roaming all around the world. The tester who manages to survive until the test period ends will get ample bonus and prize.
Wait, doesn’t it sound so normal? Like ordinary game you play?

But not in this story.
Why? What’s the secret? What’s the hint?

Zombie Hunter

After reviewing what they prohibited during the testing, this four buddies change their view to what will they get from ZO International Ltd. there are several articles describing the payment, bonus, and accommodation that tester will receive during the testing.


Hua Shu : "Look guys, this payment really generous"


1. All testers will paid in weekly wage. Each week tester will receive $ 5,000 but if tester can achieve full 3 weeks testing the total paid will be $ 25,000.


2. Accommodations and transportation during testing will become responsibility of ZO International Ltd.


3. All testers that manage to accomplish finishing the testing will have privilege to company's exclusive gaming gears.


4. Five top rank testers will get additional bonuses according to their score and ranks.  


5. ZO International Ltd. will cover any medical expenses that happen if tester had accident during testing that requires medical treatment.


Mu Kui : "Gosh! We can even make a small company from the payment if we manage to stay for 3 weeks"


Jing An : "There's also some bonus for ranking holder. Bro Shu, do you think we can enter the rank?"


Hua Shu : "Probably, we are the Lunatic Quartet anyway hahahah"


Lunatic Quartet is a nickname given by gamers for them because their play style that tends to be reckless, rough, vicious and merciless. Once there's a player from a small guild harassed Jing An that play solo. The four buddies retaliated by destroyed that player and his guild just by four of them. They succeed to defend their self from attack from over 100 player from that guild, and counter with unusual ways that made the guild destroyed in one day!


Jan Cox : "Hahaha…that name really bring back memories"


Mu Kui : "Right bro…we really give them slap in the face that they will never forget"


Hua Shu : "Yeah…that time if the tactic we employed didn't work well, it is us that will be destroyed. A tactic with high risk but also high gain"


Jan Cox : "I ever doubt if that tactic would work thou"


Mu Kui : "No one will think the NPC will help us beat them hahaha"


Hua Shu : "Still I don't clear why they harassed brother Jing at that time"


Mu Kui : "Now you mention that, I also not clear. Bro Jing! What exactly happened back there?"


Mu Kui : "Don't say you already forget bro"


Jing An : "I flirting with that guy's girlfriend"


Jing An's three buddies dumbfounded hearing that. Actually Jing An deserved to be harassed? Hua Shu shakes his head and change the topic to the contract on their hands.


Hua Shu : "Alright guys, let's what have past stay in the past. What do you think on point number 3?"


Mu Kui : "That exclusive game gears right? It wouldn't only just VR helmet, yes?"


Hua Shu : "You bet! You see that thing covered with black clothes in the platform?"


Jing An : "You means that the exclusive game gears bro?"


Jan Cox : "Let's ask about that. I don't think they will keep that thing under cover forever anyway" 


Hua Shu : "Let's do it later, you see the fifth point? My guess is we not only testing the game but also testing the game gears altogether. Since it's on experimental stage, any accident could be happen. That's why they put that clause on contract"


Jing An : "I feel somehow uneasy bro…."


Hua Shu : "Relax, when it looks dangerous we can bail out from testing site" 


Hua Shu : " So, let's say we don't have any problem with this rewards term right?"
