I was a normal child. I was average in almost everything. I was the student the teacher would overlook, the judges would forget, the person you'd remember as a blur. Not significant, not memorable.
I had a liking for dancing, and I was good at it. My parents were very supportive, I got into a performance art school, and I'll graduate next year.
I wasn't exceptional, I wasn't way too bad.
I am the person who'd act the normal person, the townsperson, someone who'd make the other character on the stage shine more.
I know that's the way I am, that's the way I work.
But, I am selfish.

"Wow! Look at this place! So many tall buildings! Their accent is so different too! Cassey, don't you think we will not fit in?"
The older boy constantly pestered the younger boy, his eyes filled with curiosity and zeal.
"Have you never been to Trutyin City in your life?"
"Nope! This is the first time I'm traveling out of the town"
"But the town isn't that inferior for you to be this excited..."
"Oh shut up Cassey!"
Christopher waved his hand in an exaggerated movement and had a disbelieving gaze.
"You are trying to ruin my youthful spirit, which is overflowing!"
The younger boy became speechless.
They had taken the magnet train from their town to the capital Trutyin City. They had a lot of luggage, traveling with it soon became a hassle.
They were currently in the area filled with choreography studios, practice studios, vocal training centers, diet restaurants, booking agencies, almost everything was present. Accommodation and even dorm complexes were really close. It was a haven for the ones on screen.
The place was bustling with slender and beautiful young men and women. All of them looked above average and some were breathtaking. The scenery of countless captivating juveniles all together gave one a feeling akin to looking at a chest full of treasures. It was magnificent on the whole, but then there were only a few priceless objects.
Opposite to where they both stood was a huge complex with several buildings. Those type of buildings were mainly used to accommodate idols and trainees of middle-grade companies.
Companies were divided into four main categories "Low-grade" "Middle-grade" "High-grade" and the "Monopolies"
The system was how successful a company was, the lowest being low-grade and the highest the Monopolies.
The area along with the commodities for trainees and idols, it was the home of countless middle-grade entertainment companies.
"It's public audition time for almost every company over here, we'll definitely get selected into one!"
Christopher said, his eyes glittering.
"Maybe we won't." A sharp remark came out from Cassey's mouth.
Faced with the cruel expression of his friend, Christopher puffed his cheeks and went looking around. His vivid eyes scanned the area, slowly but thoroughly.
His soft auburn hair graced his cheeks, it was meticulously combed - He was dressed to impress. He was tall, and his posture was good. His eyes were large and his lips were thin - He wasn't too eye-catching neither was he too bad, he was pleasing to look at. His redshirt and his white pants made him look like an inexperienced juvenile, the most favored target for the vile. His features were just above average, but that didn't make him any less special.
Yes, he was pleasing to look at, he stood out next to the average man, but when he stood next to the boy with the mystical features next to him, he didn't look that great. You'd unconsciously compare them, and conclude that the shorter boy was indeed more attractive than him.
With the number, of attractive people strolling around he would have blended in, but an invisible attraction, an aura made him stand out. His happiness and purity were contagious - After a number of people were bewitched by Cassey, they put their eyes on Christopher, only to leave with a happy smile. But still, the comparison existed.
He looked around with happy eyes and smiled gleefully at the younger and shorter boy.
His words, his thoughts and, actions all radiated freshness all overwhelmed the "impure" person next to him as he stood in silence, his lips in a thin line.
"Chris, I'll go reserve a room for us, why don't you try looking around and probably audition? We can make things quicker..."
Cassey didn't tell those words because he was lazy, he saw that Chris was really excited, so to make his trip smooth, he decided he'd go finish the formalities.
"Audition? We should audition together! I'll look for a restaurant, you go to our hotel!" Christopher took out his phone and looked up for nearby restaurants.
Cassey nodded to express his agreement and both of them separated.
"I hope he doesn't get lost..."
Cassey got worried as he walked towards the direction of his hotel.
After a few minutes, the only thought which emerged in his head was:
"Where in the world am I?"
....
..
When is the feeling of being truly lost? When something is broken and the pieces can't be found.
