Arcane Slayer

Shameless 5-star review, give one star if you don't like it. Anyway, I have this story done to 6 volumes each is about 20 chapters. I am just editing and updating, and changing a few names. Might add an arc or two for the fun of it.

I read this novel when it was on Royal Road as the more I read it, the more I thought of it as professionally written book rather than an original. It's an amazing story with good character development and it keeps me interested. Don't want l give out spoilers but if you like action novels then read this one. Now Imma have to wait a whole month so that I can binge read the new wired chapters again.

MCs are an important part of any story, its personality and reaction to events can make or break a story. So my review will focus on him. MC is a psychopath. MC is a hypocrite. MC also "loved" somebody, but instead of being happy that she avoided a worse fate, he starts to hate her for not looking him in the eyes... He hates his "love" because she hasn't sacrificed herself in a situation where it wouldn't have achieved anything. Also, he passively let it happen to himself too... Ok, having some negative emotions at the spot is somewhat understandable, but even years later when he already got out of that situation?... So: MC is an arsehole. If you like an MC like this? Well, good for you?

I read this story on royalroadl, the author took a hiatus and stopped posting. It was good then, but now he seems to be making edits and updating the quality.

The first part of the story, before the MC dies is full of nothing but darkness. It's the kind of ****ed up **** that makes you wonder what kind of psycho wrote it and whether or not they should be locked up. After the MC dies he actually becomes a psycho. Everything about him screams paranoid schizophrenia to me. Every time I turn around the MC is talking about how scared he is to be "caught" when there have been zero indications that he's even being "looked at". That being said, the author throws in these random character shifts where he starts elaborating on all the different people who are actually, in fact, looking at the MC. But this is all 20/20 because the MC has zero indication of any of it happening, yet the MC is still paranoid as ever loving fuq. What this screams to me is that this author has no writing ability. He has no idea how to elaborate and build upon this kind of secret stalker/ambush theme so he has to force it by making these viewpoint shifts with characters that no one remembers. Speaking about not remembering. The entire first 26 chapters (I couldn't torture myself to read anymore) are incredibly rushed. The story is basically bullet lines. There are these actions being described and from what they're being described as it's clear that they should take a large amount of time, yet no time passage is written. In fact, from the beginning of the novel to the point where the character dies there should be at least 4-6 years between these two points yet it's written as if it happens in like 1 and a half years at most. This shows a lack of effort and planning on the authors part, time lapses are incredibly detrimental in novels because it ruins the immersion effect that reading naturally exploits. Stepping back to an overall outlook, it isn't exactly clear what this story is marketed towards. Upon first glance it seems to be a shounen type novel with lots of action and fighting, kind of a chibi typestyle in my opinion, the characters are rather 2-d and aren't very deep. The appearances aren't described very much so a lot is left to be desired. Then we look at how dark the writing actually is. It looks like shounen but the writing is so incredibly dark that it's borderline emo. It screams teenage angst to me, the MC just wants to watch the world burn and doesn't give a single **** about anyone or anything in it. All the while being super paranoid and bloodthirsty with absolutely zero character building or character interaction. Overall this novel is all over the place. The writing quality is poor, the planning is poor, the marketed audience is completely fuq'd, the best I'd say is that it's some kind of sick life fantasy type thing. All of this makes me seriously question the person who writes this.

All of reviews with 5 stars have to be friends with the author because I haven't seen such a garbagefire of a story in a while. The grammar is just awful and the weirdest thing is that the words the author uses are more on the complex end of English but the flow, it just doesn't flow at all. The author does not know how to write sentences that flow properly, nor does he use "," in a proper way either. How can someone write a paragraph where all the sentences start with But... Just don't.

Hey Author, let' be honest here there is simply nothing to be disatified about, since it is one of the most logical and captivating story ever, the main characer uses his brain not dick, he thinks rational and calculates things to his advantages all the time to reach immortality and have absolute strength to reign supreme among everything and anything. Without such conviction and ideals how the **** would anyone survive and advance? To put is simply, NOBODY QUALIFY TO DESIRE ABSOLUTE IMMORTALITY AND POWER WITHOUT HAVING THE HEART FOR LIKE HIM AND END OF THE STORY. Do you know that this can trully show itself among these many tons of garbages that many people vote for and comment without having a GOD DAMN idea what is it about? It will be a peace of cake to shine among the trash. Your work is trully breautiful and many like me, appreciate such work and hope to keep developping much farther and continue to release chapters while crafting the mind blowing arcs. I wish you all the luck.

Outstandingly well written. I highly recommend reading! The plot, the world and character building, this has it all! The novel neither progresses too quickly nor stagnates with nothing but filler put in to increase the word count. It does have some "Game Elements" to it, but not too much.

I'm glad u started writing this novel again. I use to follow this story on royal road before it got erased. The flow is better than the original and the core is still there so thanks and looking forward to the next release of chapters.😆😀

[This is my first time writing a review here so please tolerate me a bit] Your story is really good you know. You explained things clearly and the MC do things in an intelligent way. It's just that for me, I think you can improve this by making the MC fights more. He's kinda relying to his pawns to do the work so theres not much of an action going

Quite nice. It's enjoyable. I love the MC not a little Bitch. And it seems quite professional the novel in itself. Would love to see more of it.
