So it's seem that stressfull situations brtings the best of me.
That pop up showed in front of my face and I quickly closed it with my hand as I was swatting a fly.
As I was doing that I took a look around, it was like one of those cocktails party that you see in the movies. Really fancy stuff for people with hoodies and sunglasses. But I was the champion of the memento, most rules don't apply to me!
I already made a few connections on the 3rd like Bruce (Texan guy that had connections with dealing with guns) or Han (Chinese guy, he had connections with exotic animals and drugs) and Jamie,( he was connected with the precious stone market, he could put anything you have anonymously if you give him a big enough cut). But those were just people on the surface level on the underground world, I needed deeper connections if I have to make bigger deals.
I began to approach the old man, as a fellow finalist it felt right to show some respect. I smiled and said, "Thanks a lot for the teaching old man, what is your name by the way?"
He nodded at me and said "Antony Delmer, nice to meet you Fergal. Being beaten by a thunderstruck guy. Some of my friends will laugh at me for ages HAHA"
I stood somewhat confused and then realize "Oh right, they said my name to everyone when they announced me winning the tournament, how silly of me. But how did you know about that incident?"
He smiled and said "When you are old you have nothing but free time if you read a name and an unusual incident and then meet a person with the same name. Is most probably the same person. It took me for a surprise to see a thunder stricken person be this well after suffering such a hit. One in a million hit right?"
I awkwardly smiled and said "Yeah, one in a million haha..." after more talking I found out that he was THE Antony Delmer, CEO of Delmer company, the multinational publicity corporation. A good guy to have a nice relationship. Good thing I said hi to him first. Maybe It could be useful later.
I tried to talk with most of them but they didn't give me any face and some of them even ignored me. Maybe they were angry or deemed me not important enough to talk to them.
I then tried to talk to Bella who was surrounded by guys that I didn't saw on the tournament. I excused them and passes between them to at least to say hi. And maybe even try to get more information about this beautiful creature.
To my surprise when she saw me she stood up and grabbed my hand and said to the other guys "Sorry guys, the winner of the tournament is trying to take me for a dance, I can't refuse as a loser. I will talk to you later! See ya!"
Pretty casual for someone who irradiates an aura of elegance and refinement.
Before I knew what was happening I was dancing at the rhythm of a live orchestra. I didn't know any good dance moves for this type of music so I decided to follow her lead the best way possible.
It took a lot of effort not to stomp her little agile feet. But I somewhat managed to the end of the song.

I quickly though "Close it" and the blue box disappeared. We bow to each other and went to a quiet table to talk, she flushed and said to me "Sorry to have to use you as an excuse to flee from those guys. They get really annoying after a while!"
I quickly began waving my hand while saying "Is not a problem! Anytime you want! If I knew I had to dance to these type of music I would have practiced earlier!"
After a couple of laughs and small talked I learned that she was the daughter of an "important businessman" that she didn't want to talk about, and that she had to take over soon. Because of her father ill health. She didn't seem so enthusiastic about that. Maybe I could arrange a deal with her father for a couple of years of lifespans disguised as a doctor? But I can transfer lifespans to other people? I need to try that.
Either way, I shouldn't bee thinking about this, I didn't even fix my current effect status and I was thinking about giving away lifespan as if was cheap candy.
It was getting pretty late, I decided to bide my farewells to her and searched for a special person in the crowd. After a while, I noticed it, and began to quicken my pace and arrived near him when the 3 looking tug guys from the tournament stopped me and said
"You are close enough "champion", what the hell do you want?"
I ignored him and began speaking to the person behind them "I notice that people would look with respect and fear when they saw you. You must be a person of influence in places I don't even begin to imagine. I only want to have a contact information for good deals that come my way. I will not disappoint you, Sir!"
The tree tugs parted away and a middle age man with a scar in his face approached me and said "And what deal will impress me enough to give you my information? My time is precious so speak quickly!"
I quickly said "I can't say it out here for fear to people to listen to it, but I intend to sell some exotic things that I think that only a person of your caliber could manage to deal with it. I promise that I would not disappoint you on the least sir!"
He looked at me for a few seconds and said something to the tug near him and the tug nodded.
After the middle age man left with the other 2 tugs the only one left passed him a deliver pizza advertisement and said "When you have something good to trade, call this number and ask for a big pineapple pizza. When they say that they don't do that nasty thing insist and say that you are Hector and that you live under a rock. After that hung up, and expect our call" he was walking away but said one more thing "hey kid remember if you call and don't have anything remotely good to trade you are going to pay one way or the other kid. Don't play with other people time"
He left after he said that. My address book was getting bigger, but scary at the same time. Why did I make such a risk even when I said to stay low? Because I need a way to trade expensive things, and I don't have channels for that. What would happen if someone wants me to do something in exchange for a relic or something exotic? Yes, I could say no to them and say that I only accept money or cancel the deal and make them forget. But I could lose so much profit making that. Not all the people that have expensive things have the proper channels to sell them, or even if they sell them they get scammed pretty hard. I could avoid that and make the most profit of the item provided.
