Another World

In a mountainous and forested land that was located at the south western part of the West Continent, called Windy Hollow Mountains. A luxurious wooden carriage could be seen passing through a path that was littered with falling tangerine leaves.

Inside it, there were four people sitting with exuberant smiles hanging in their faces as they were chatting jubilantly with each other. All of them were young people at the early age of adolescence, and based from their appearances, they belong to the middle class of the society.

At the front and rear side of the carriage, there were a group of armored men riding with their horses as they steadily followed it. These men had an attentive look on each of their faces as if they were expecting something would pop out at their line of sight in any moment.

As they ventured further down the road, the thicket of bushes suddenly rustled. With the alertness of the men that was stationed near the rustling bushes, they quickly detected it as they swiftly withdrawn their sheathed swords that was placed at the side of their waists.

The coachman hurriedly stopped the carriage after one of the armored men in their group gave him a signal. As a non-combatant, the coachman was immediately filled with cold sweat as he nervously gripped the whip with his two hand. "Don't do anything stupid. There are many of us, so you shouldn't be afraid and just calm yourself down."

When the coachman heard this voice, he involuntarily looked at the owner of the voice and saw a young man that was sitting in his horse from the right side of the carriage. He couldn't help but admire him when he saw his appearance. 'W-what a young man...'

When the coachman was about to express his gratitude towards the young man, a shadow quickly leaped out of the thicket and thrown itself from the nearest man it found.

The one who got attacked was startled for a second, before hurriedly grabbed his shield that was hanging from his back. But as he was about to place his shield in front of him, the quick shadow already passed as a breeze of wind blew his way.

He had a stupefied look on his face as he tilted his head down and saw three diagonal slashes that bore throughout his chest armor as he saw an three enormous wide wounds along the spurting crimson liquid out of his body.

"H-how..." Muttering his final word as he stumbled out of his horse down to the ground.

Even if it all happened really fast, everyone still saw how their comrade died. Instinctively discerning the momentary situation, the sneaky shadow suddenly stopped at their rear revealing its true appearance.

It had dark and shiny fur all over its body, with four large paws as big as a human's head. It menacingly gazed at its surrounding as it growled. Upon distinctly seeing the monster for the first time, they exclaimed in horror.

"W-what is that monster?" One of the passengers at the carriage was terrified and asked the men who were guarding them in fear. The armored group, which specialized in confronting ferocious monsters solemnly looked at themselves. "It is a Black Furred Wind Wolf..." The man at the front that was protecting the carriage said.

When that man was about to state more information of the monster to the young noble inside the carriage, the Black Wind Wolf suddenly pounced again.

This time, due to the lack of guard at the rear side of the carriage, it chose to stop there as it saw some frail young girls in maid uniform.

Its target was those frail young maids that were trembling with fear.

"---!!" The black wolf roared as it pounced on the nearest girl it saw, swinging its sharp claws at her as the latter screamed in fright. The rest of the armored guards didn't idle from when they finally saw the monster appear.

In fact, one of them already moved forward and was about to confront it, but the wolf was just too fast.

It was already too late for the armored guards to defend her and could only helplessly gaze with fury in their hearts. Looking at the upcoming strike, everyone felt like the world stopped as the sharp claws were slowly closing on its destination.

Predicting the outcome, some of them instinctively closed their eyes afraid of seeing what will happen. But as it was about to touch the young girl's skin, a slashing sound was heard along a glint of light could be seen behind her.

"Tiiing!!!"

When they thought that the young girl as about to die, in that split second, that flash of sword slash imbued with firm strength directly clashed with the Black Wind Wolf's claws knocking it away.

Everyone gasped in astonishment at the scene that played before them. With the impact that was generated from the collision, the monster got knocked away for a few steps and the same happened to the latter and backed a step before steadily found his balance again.

With this slight pause, they finally got a better look at the one who rescued the young maid in time. All of them glanced at his appearance. The first thing they noticed about him was the lean build he had and only wearing light armor that only protected the important vital spots in his body.

He had pitch black hair that falls down from left towards the right and only had an unnoticeable physical appearance that would make any girls invest some effort just to glance at him for a second time.

The most surprising thing was his age. He actually looked as young as the four frightened youths that was sitting at the carriage.

This youngster was non other than Lin Feng. The sole person who accomplished the only Divine Grade Quest that ended the virtual game itself.

Even till this day, Lin Feng still haven't had any idea of how he ended up in another world. What he only remembered was the numerous errors popping out of his system interface along with the surge of uncountable myriad of information that were forcibly engraving itself inside his memory.

Lin Feng would perhaps accept it without complaining if it was just all but unfortunately, it was accompanied by severely awful headache that felt like being surrounded by many giant drillers continuously drilling inside his head until he couldn't bear it anymore and passed out.

From the time he woke up, he unexpectedly found out that he had transmigrated into another world and ended up in a body of an ordinary boy at the young age of twelve. What will happen to him in the future? What about the hardship he endlessly endured? Will it all just go to waste without being awarded for his efforts?

At the end, he couldn't answer any of it. But as he was troubled by the piled up problems that came his way, when a sudden thought goes through his mind as innumerable shocking revelation of knowledge emerged inside his head.
