The Truth(Part 1)

Lonely Feather was feeling confused right now, she didn't know what was wrong with this person. Why was his face so red? Just as she was about to continue asking him questions Lin Fang stood up.

CREEK!

The chair on which he sat broke into pieces but they were still tied to Lin Fang's body by the rope. The blush on Lin Fang's face deepened as he realized what he had done.

"S-Sorry", Lin Fang said as he looked down suddenly very interested in his shoes.

"...", Lonely Feather was speechless looking at the scene in front of her. She had worked so hard to tie him up but had forgotten about the durability of the chair and Lin Fang's strength. Fear immediately gripped her mind and body as she thought about how Lin Fang would take revenge on her for tying him up. Her body shivered as her imagination ran wild, so much so that she didn't even hear Lin Fang's sorry.

Meanwhile, Lin Fang didn't have any thoughts like torture, his mind was still blank as he tried to form a sentence in his mind to speak but it wasn't working, he was just thinking about what would sound appropriate in this situation when his eyes unintentionally made contact with the scared and confused eyes of Lonely Feather.

"Listen-", Lonely Feather had just started speaking when Lin Fang's next action completely shocked her.

Lin Fang jumped over her as he ran towards the door shouting, "I am Sorry" He quickly opened the door and ran out leaving behind a dumbfounded Lonely Feather. What was that? She was still finding Lin Fang's escape hard to understand. But she quickly came back to reality when she realized that the kids were still out there, in the direction in which Lin Fang had gone. She immediately ran after him, although he had saved the kids, she couldn't be sure that he didn't have any ulterior motives for the rescue.

Her worries turned out to be for naught, the kids were looking wide-eyed at the open door as they too tried to comprehend what just happened.

"Where is he?", Lonely Feather asked but the open door to the house already gave her an idea. Sure enough, the eldest child pointed towards the door without saying anything.

Lonely Feather took a deep breath to calm her mind as she thought about all that had happened in the last few minutes from Lin Fang's awakening to his escape. As she thought about his weird behavior since waking up, she realized that he had trouble talking normally to people and blushed at the drop of a hat. Thus, it wasn't hard for her to reach a conclusion, Lin Fang was an extreme case of introversion or the man was an otaku, personally, she leaned towards the first option as she felt pity for him, he looked like a pure slate to her, his IQ matching a five-year-olds. Although, he was kind of cute, especially his eyes...

Lin Fang who had 'escaped' from the house breathed a sigh of relief, he didn't know why but when he had seen Lonely Feather's scared and confused gaze, he had felt an itch in his heart, he felt like if he didn't escape then and there then he would have done something unthinkable. But when he thought about his performance, he felt that he had still made a fool out of himself.

'Dammit', he thought, 'why won't my mind work when I talk to girls?' Now that he thought about it, even though he had tried talking many times to the opposite sex which had only lead to a large number of embarrassing situations, he had never felt his heart itch like that, Lin Fang wondered what was special about that girl.

He was still thinking about that weird feeling when his feet touched something wet. He frowned as he looked down at the wet substance, but in the next moment, he was horrified to find that the wet thing was blood.

Lin Fang for the first time since coming out of the safe house of Lonely Feather took in his surroundings. He was standing on a wide street as he followed the trail of the river of blood. This river was flowing from a small mountain of body parts of half-eaten human beings, flies covered the body parts giving it a very disgusting look.

Lin Fang's face further paled when he noticed that there were atleast ten piles of such body-parts and some of them were clearly that of young children. He also noticed that the fire which had originally been started by the flame devils had spread across various parts of the city turning the red sky completely black.

The number of dead in the city was so high, that Lin Fang could even smell blood in the air, that was how thick the aroma of blood had gotten. Seeing all this, Lin Fang felt like vomiting as he tried to control his weak heart. He had killed quite a few men in the game but nothing could compare to the scene he was seeing right now, it looked as if hell itself had appeared on earth. Lin Fang had long forgotten the feeling he had gotten when he had seen Lonely Feather's eyes, the image of a gruesome scene that Lin Fang would never forget for the rest of his life was being burned into his memory right now.

Meanwhile, above the city...

Ice King and Ruth Wakado were standing hundreds of meter's away, the battle between them had come to a halt as they looked at the scene below them. Though the two were miles above in the air, they could still clearly hear the screams and cries of people who died under the hands of the demons as they prayed and begged for God to help them, for Ruth Wakado, the first ancestor to protect them. But their prayer's seemed to fall in deaf ears as Ruth Wakado looked down expressionlessly.

The Ice King, on the other hand, was frowning as he looked at the mess in the city. Looking at his frowning face, Ruth Wakado's lips formed an arc as he mocked, "What is this? A demon feeling pity for humans."

Hearing his words, the Ice King broke out of his trance as he turned to look at Ruth Wakado coldly, "Human or Demon, the loss of life is still a big loss."

Ruth Wakado sneered at his words as he said, "You are a hypocrite, on one side you have your demons attack my city and on the other side, you preach about the loss of life. What do you think you are?"

Hearing his words, Ice King just shook his head as he said, "The only hypocrite here is you. This is war, people die in war, innocents die in war but if not for your stubbornness, so many people would not have to needlessly die. But you don't seem like an impulsive person to me, just what are you planning?" If Ruth Wakado had sent away the old and the young or even the women, then the casualties would not be so high and rivers of blood would not have formed. But even after all this, Ruth Wakado seemed calm like everything was under his control, just what was his plan? The Ice King wondered. He had a feeling that something was terribly wrong but he couldn't place his finger on it.

"Less talk old ghost, come, fight me", Ruth Wakado shouted as he attacked the Ice King. While outside, he was was expressionless, only he knew how surprised he was inside, this guys preception was pretty high to have noticed that something was wrong but no matter, just a few more minutes...

As he thought about what was going to happen in a little while, Ruth Wakado couldn't stop his lips from drawing into a cold and evil smirk. Just a little while more...
