A second before the start, Shu Himo listened to a message from the system.
[To advance to the next floor, eliminate every monster. The system will not give any help, and aside from the storage, all the functions are locked while inside the tower. Have fun while dying eaten alive by the monsters!]
"How am I supposed to have fun like that?!?" Disturbed for a moment by the remark of the system, Shu Himo then promptly concentrated on the monsters, ready to fight them.
Bringing out his scythe, he began releasing a frightening pressure toward everything, and monsters are not an exception.
The monsters that just emerged are three wolves all of a contrasting color, one is white, another is grey while the last is black, but it seems impossible to know at which rank they are.
Assuming that it will be an easy fight, Shu Himo got into position, holding the handle of the scythe with both hands and pointing the scythe near the right of the wolves.
The wolves, seeing Shu Himo and his scythe did not sense any fear, and just watched toward him.
The time appeared to stop until one of the wolves abruptly moved.
Injecting force in the paws, the white wolf rushed toward Shu Himo, entirely disappearing from Shu Himo's view, and reappearing barely a meter from him.
Alarmed, Shu Himo attempted to move his scythe to parry the attack, but the wolf swiftly curved and with his paw inflicted a cut in Shu Himo's thigh.
Throughout all this period, the other two wolves seemed not to move from their spots, as if seeking to view at a spectacle.
After inflicting the cut the wolf leaped backward, gaining distance from Shu Himo.
Shu Himo, after being injured is surprised, 'It was a while something didn't injure me... was it from the fight in the Arena?'
Holding this thought, Shu Himo let out a smirk, and yelled at the wolves, "Come!"
Hearing him, the wolves are bewildered, are they in presence of a masochist?
This time the gray wolf quickly rushed, again by himself, vanishing from Shu Himo's view.
This time foreseeing the attack Shu Himo attempted to predict where the wolf will strike and directed the scythe to that spot, but the wolf noticing that he is being seen through quickly stopped his charge and leaped on the wall, using it as a springboard to redirect the attack.
Now aiming toward Shu Himo's head, the wolf's only desire is to behead the rude child who dared enter in the tower.
Shu Himo witnessing the wolf's move is now surprised, this versatility is rare on monsters, do they possess human-level intelligence?
Not having time to speculate on that, Shu Himo rotated the scythe, rapidly altering its trajectory, now directed to the mouth of the wolf.
The grey wolf viewing the attack is frightened and not being able to evade due to being in mid-air, hurriedly attempted to resist the scythe with his legs, but the scythe pierced through them and split him in half, causing the wolf to explode in a black fog, which got absorbed in the floor of the tower.
The remaining two wolves viewing their comrade being split in half were astonished and gazing to each other chose to stop underestimating the intruder and began working together.
Abruptly, the white wolf rushed toward Shu Himo's legs while the black one rushed toward his torso, both from diverse angles.
Foreseeing them to fight together Shu Himo quickly jumped in the air, wheeling around himself with the scythe and holding it from the farthest part of the handle. The scythe began descending as if it was a divine hammer, falling on top of the black wolf.
Perceiving the attack the wolf turned on himself and leaped backward evading the strike while expecting for his comrade to hit Shu Himo.
Sadly the truth is different from expectations, as Shu Himo's attack was not toward him but toward the white wolf. Shu Himo spinning on himself, curved ultimately the trajectory of the slash, and chopped a leg of the white wolf, who did not foresee to be aimed by the attack.
"Auu!" While shrieking in pain, the wolf jumped backward, but how could Shu Himo let him escape? He directly threw his scythe, stabbing the wolf's back and causing him to explode in a black fog, which got again absorbed by the floor.
Now not having a weapon, Shu Himo has no way to protect from an attack of the black wolf, so recognizing this as a chance the wolf quickly jumped to Shu Himo, striving toward his torso once again.
Noticing that he had no way to avoid the attack, Shu Himo promptly brought out of the storage the violin and used it as a shield.
*Tong!*
The sound of a head impacting the violin resounded in the distance, and grasping that this is a chance, Shu Himo drew out the sword from the storage and slashed toward the now dazed wolf, beheading him.
Even the third wolf, once killed exploded in a black fog which got absorbed by the floor.
Seeing that he had killed all the monsters, Shu Himo got the scythe from the ground and commenced seeking the stairs to the second floor, when he heard:
[Congratulation! The User managed to win against the first floor! Soon revealing the staircase toward the second floor... if the User wants to persist ascending the tower advance on the staircase and if instead, the User desires to stop, return to the entrance or say "I give up!"]
Observing the stairs swiftly emerge from the wall, Shu Himo then replied:
"Obviously I will advance! I will not give up just for a scratch!"
Once said those words, Shu Himo then moved to advance up the stairs, arriving on the second floor.
In the second floor, everything is still gray, but with the difference that the monster this time are not wolves and instead, there are five enormous 3 meters tall ogres.
