The atmosphere in the plain seemed to come at a standstill, with complete silence.
In Shu Himo's view, the only things that exist now are himself, the violin, the sword, and his targets. With a profound gaze, he turned towards the targets, entering a state of concentration.
Finally, the first wave of targets is close: there are three rocks, two scissors, and one paper.
Stabbing the sword in the ground, Shu Himo immediately threw a punch toward the first rock, *Pop!* Destroying it completely, he then took back the sword slashing toward his right, while holding the violin at his left to parry the first scissors. With a backflip, he blocked the second scissors with the violin while in mid-air, then threw both the violin and the sword on the ground, and once touched the ground he sent two punches toward the remaining two rocks.
With a long breath, he filled his lungs to rest for the next wave.
He did not need to wait for much, as three seconds later multiple targets surrounded him once again, not giving time to rest at all. This wave comprehended five rocks, two scissors, and two papers, apparently increasing the difficulty.
Noticing that if he did not move everything would reach him at the same time—making it impossible to dodge—Shu Himo used stacked [Hopper_x3], dashing toward the first scissors, and directly slammed on it with the violin. Stabilizing quickly himself, he noticed that all the targets changed the trajectory, always aiming toward his position, this mean that any chance of running is non-existent.
With a resolute gaze, he punched toward three rocks, then turned around abruptly and slashed a paper behind him, followed by a jump using [Hopper_x2], reaching over fifty meters of altitude. All the remaining targets immediately turned, chasing Shu Himo on the sky.
Seeing the remaining two rocks, one scissors, and paper, Shu Himo smirked, now falling toward the ground due to the force of gravity.
He firstly threw the violin on top of the scissors, eliminating the biggest problem, secondly, he threw the sword toward the paper, stabbing through it and eliminating the second problem. Now that both violin and sword are on the ground, Shu Himo looked toward the remaining two rocks and abruptly threw two punches toward them, destroying both.
Falling on the ground once again, he took back both violin and sword.
Until now, barely ten seconds passed from the start, which shows the difficulty of the test. Taking another deep breath, Shu Himo tried to rest but the next wave already reached him.
This time the number of targets increased exponentially, with fifteen rocks, three papers, and five scissors!
With a grim look, Shu Himo searched a solution, until he saw that two papers are close to each other! Abusing this he threw the sword on them, successfully splitting two papers. As one scissors is coming once again from behind, Shu Himo readily parried it with the violin but did not even bother to look at it, as he threw a punch toward a rock in front of him.
Suddenly, he got surrounded by ten rocks, so to resolve the situation, he used stacked [Hopper_x3] dashing toward one and punched it, abruptly turned around and threw more punches, destroying all the other nine rocks. Not daring to lower his guard, he took out his scythe and threw it on the remaining paper, but, while he managed to cut the paper he got stabbed behind by the scissors, ending the test.
The moment he got stabbed, all the remaining object abruptly exploded, becoming black mist that formed a display in front of Shu Himo.
With a disappointed look, Shu Himo looked at the display, curious to know his record compared to the average of the other classes.
"Congratulation for completing the test!
Required targets destroyed for passing: 20!
Targets destroyed: 33! [Press here to check average target destroyed]"
Pressing the button, he then waited for the display to morph once again, now showing the average targets destroyed.
"Average targets destroyed:
Class D: 1 target.
Class C: 3 targets.
Class B: 6 targets.
Class A: 13 targets.
Class S: 28 targets.
The Winged Freaks: 500 targets (max).
Teachers: 122 targets.
Headmasters: Information Reserved."
Seeing the records, the interest of Shu Himo toward the winged freaks continued to increase, who are they to possess such high records? Not having time to get disappointed over his own record, Shu Himo saw everything around him abruptly changing once again.
From the earlier enormous plain, the place around Shu Himo now changed into a road, a road that seemed to be infinite. Being at the starting point, Shu Himo suddenly noticed a red ball in front of him, puzzled, he waited for the usual mechanical voice.
Suddenly, the red ball changed its form and became a completely black spider, seemingly a tarantula about one meter high. Upon taking a closer look, the spider seems to not have a physical body, being only an untouchable image.
Not having time to get surprised by it, Shu Himo suddenly heard the usual mechanical voice, "Chase the spider, if you are fifty meters behind the spider the test will end."
Immediately realizing what this test is about, Shu Himo felt overjoyed: it's a test of speed! His advantage with Hopper in this test will prove crucial.
Abruptly, the spider started running, and Shu Himo immediately chased after it. Since the spider is now moving at just 50km/h, Shu Himo is running normally without using Hopper, but this will change quickly with the next phrase from the mechanical voice, "Introducing spider rain."
"Spider rain?" Not having time to realize what the voice just said, Shu Himo suddenly saw thousands of spiders falling from the sky, all of them with the same size as the first spider!
