Running Through the Path [C97]

Being surrounded by four fireballs, Shu Himo did not panic and immediately analyzed the situation.

There are four fireballs about to reach him, and he is in an extremely narrow path, giving him no way to dodge. In front of him, there are at the very least 10 swinging pendulum blades continuously moving, occupying all his view and not letting see what there is beyond.

Analyzing them, Shu Himo immediately knew it would require a lot of time to pass without getting hit, and the fireballs would not leave that required time.

Ignoring the fireballs, Shu Himo stared at the closest swinging pendulum blade, trying to discern the right timing. A moment later, he smiled and used a stacked [Hopper_x3], dashing forward!

Crashing on the closest swinging pendulum blade, Shu Himo posed his palms on the blade and immediately used a reversed stacked [Hopper_x3], sending it flying.

The pendulum blade got sent flying by the force of propulsion, crashing on the others swinging pendulum blades and destroying them!

"Hehe, it worked!" With a cheeky laugh, Shu Himo proceeded to go forward, ignoring the explosions from the fireballs behind himself.

[It seriously worked…]

'Obviously! It was all according to my plan!'

Finally, Shu Himo noticed another door at the side and could not help but guess, 'Most likely the difficulty will increase after every door.'

Ignoring it like the door earlier, he continued walking forward, uncaring of the lava that at the sides is falling inside the chasms. Now with a focused gaze, he stared forward ready to defend from any attack.

Abruptly, an iron arrow flew outside from the lava, continuing until it reached the other side. Since it was a bit farther than Shu Himo, it did not create any problem, but now Shu Himo know what this place is about, 'So this part is about dodging arrows?'

Knowing that this part is about dodging arrows, Shu Himo smirked, after the training with those sadistic balls there is no way simple arrows can hit him.

While walking confidently, Shu Himo suddenly lost his footing and started to fall.

"WHAT?" Abruptly looking toward below he noticed that the ground has vanished, how is this possible? Quickly turning his head he looked forward and noticed that the path is still there, but it's crumbling and will not take long until it is completely destroyed!

Promptly using a stacked [Hopper_x2] he dashed on top of the path, but before reaching it he suddenly noticed that there are hundreds of arrows flying toward him! While normally he could dodge them with ease, now he is in mid-air!

With a grim look, Shu Himo used [Hopper], gaining altitude and dodging the arrows, but now not having anymore stack of [Hopper] he has no way to maneuver mid-air, so he is in a risky position to defend from additional attacks.

As if knowing that Shu Himo is in a risky position, three iron rods suddenly darted toward him, one from behind while two from the front, closing every way to escape.

In such a situation, Shu Himo did not panic and analyzed carefully their trajectory and speed, noticing that the rod behind is slightly faster.

A moment later the rod was about to reach him, but Shu Himo took out the violin, using it as a shield.

*Tud*

With the impact from the rod on the violin, Shu Himo gained a sudden thrust that sent him flying toward the other two rods, but as if expecting it, Shu Himo took out his greatsword and smashed it on top of the two rods, deviating their path.

As his plan was a success, Shu Himo grinned, 'How was it, system?'

[Is the User trying to break the newly bought greatsword?]

'Wha- you should know that something like that can't damage it!'

[It was a joke.]

'Don't joke over such important things!'

*Crk*

Finally reaching again the ground, Shu Himo heard cracks underneath and knew that the path is still crumbling, so he immediately used [Hopper], dashing forward, until he reached yet another door.

The path seems to finish with this door, a red-colored door with gold signs as a decoration that seems to emit a majestic aura as if it was something that must not be defiled.

Realizing to have reached the end, Shu Himo was gloomy, 'Was that all?'

[That wasn't enough?]

'It was getting fun…'

Sighing, Shu Himo opened the door and entered the area, finally seeing the library… or at least that was what he expected to see.

In front of Shu Himo, there is now a single shelf with just five books, making Shu Himo wonder how that middle-aged man was not embarrassed by calling this a library.

Walking closer, he began to inspect the tags, and reading the first he felt like spurting blood.

"How to cook homemade pasta… what is wrong with this place?"

Standing in shock, he then immediately looked at the next tag, hoping that it will be a normal one.

"Geography of the world… this could be useful, but I will first look at the others tags."

"Research on technology… so there is an actual research going on? I'm a bit curious about it, but I don't really need it right now."

"History of the Academy… not interested."

Reading all these useless tags, Shu Himo felt hopeless, thinking about all that he did to read these useless books… almost losing hope, he looked at the next tag, but unlike his expectations, after reading it his eyes opened wide in excitement as if he saw something incredible.
