Waiting Time [C138]

In front of Shu Himo, unlike every other floor, the area did not appear as completely grey, as it was impossible to see the walls! Instead of the grey walls, the darkness covered the place, stopping anyone from seeing far from themselves.

On the floor, there were numerous grey rods standing up, ending with an enormous snail's shell on top. This puzzled Shu Himo, what was that shell used for?

Walking inside the room, he readied himself with his scythe, as in a place where anything was possible, being guarded was the best choice.

The moment he stepped inside, a creepy laugh resounded everywhere, "Hehehehe..."

Feeling a shiver on his back, Shu Himo frowned, having a bad feeling about what may happen.

Suddenly, with a *Pop* sound, from the snail's shells… came out a snail. About twenty centimeters long, the snails came out from the shells and appeared to gaze at Shu Himo, but then they ignored him, crawling on the rod, trying to go on the ground.

Dumbfounded, Shu Himo dumbly stared at the snails as they reached the floor. However, remembering about the exploding bears of the last floor, he was shaken for a moment, were those going to blow up too?

Knowing that the sheer amount of snails could prove difficult to evade were they to possess a high speed, Shu Himo frowned. Deciding to try to break the shells, he immediately used a stacked [Hopper_x4], dashing toward the closest shell and slashing it.

*Frr*

Upon contact with the scythe, it was immediately split in half, ceasing its functioning. Yet, as if they did not notice, the snails did not change their behavior at all, crawling toward a precise spot, as if trying to be all together.

Staring at the snails, Shu Himo frowned in bewilderment, what were they trying to do? Not wanting to risk by letting them act freely, he extended his hand toward a couple of them, while chanting, "Lightning."

Suddenly, a spark created in front of his hand, which quickly expanded itself until it shot toward the snails, becoming a lightning that seemed to destroy anything in its path.

Yet, the moment the lightning reached the snails, it was as if they did not notice anything, and continued crawling unharmed.

Startled by their endurance, Shu Himo knew that he could not let anymore produce, and stared at the shells, using then a stacked [Hopper_x4], dashing toward the next shell, slashing it with the scythe.

Noticing that the snails did not care at all, he continued destroying many shells, until none was left unharmed, all destroyed.

However, no matter what he did the snails continued to slowly crawl toward the center of the room, disregarding his existence.

Annoyed by them, Shu Himo took out his violin and began playing it.

Suddenly, the area appeared to change, into a green plain, as many balls of fire generated on the sky.

A moment later, the balls of fire dropped, falling on top of the snails.

*BOOM!*

Generating an overbearing sound, the light of the explosion extended, and everything that could be seen was the light emitted from it.

This made Shu Himo smile in wonder, were those snails finally dead?

A couple of seconds later, the light gradually subsided, as everything came once again into view: the snails were unharmed!

Shu Himo could not believe it, were they really bent into ignoring him?

"Wait… why does this feel as if it was the animation prior to the coming of a boss monster?"

As if answering his question, a couple snails jumped onto each other, and with their collision, a small white sphere formed, which stood still in mid-air.

This confirmed Shu Himo's hypothesis, it was really a boss fight! But this doesn't mean he will just wait for the 'begin' signal!

Smiling confidently, he took out his silver rods, and taking the same stance as when trying to throw a javelin, he stepped forward, throwing the rods!

*Fiuu*

Reaching a speed of over 500m/s, the silver rod appeared more like a missile than as a simple rod. Yet…

*Tud*

As if crushing on top of an invisible barrier, the rod stopped just at a mere centimeter from the white ball and fell on the ground.

"This is bullsh*t!" Having nothing else to do, he just cursed.

Sighing, he patiently stared at the snails, which were jumping continuously on the white sphere.

Five minutes later, his irritation only increased, and he pointed with his finger toward one snail, "Move, move! You're too slow, how much are you going to make me wait?!"

Quickly turning toward another snail, he yelled, "And you! Why are you standing still for two minutes! I don't have all the day to wait!"

Walking toward another snail, he attempted to kick it, yet an invisible barrier obstructed his foot.

"Auch! That hurt!" Feeling pain in his toes from the rebound, Shu Himo could not hold on anymore and stretched his hand toward a snail, grabbing it.

With an irate expression, he threw the snail on top of the white ball, "Oh, it worked?" Surprised by it, he then had an idea and took out an open basket from his storage.

Grinning, he grabbed the next snail, and put it in the basket, "Hehe… it's time for the harvest of snails…"

Walking to the next one, he happily grabbed it and put it in the basket. He continued to do that for more twenty snails, and seeing that the basket was full he frowned, "Why is the basket so small?"

Ignoring how the basket was already enormous, capable of containing twenty snails over ten centimeters high, Shu Himo walked up to the white sphere.

Emptying the basket on top of the white sphere, he then patted it, "Just move, I can't waste too much time…"

Walking back to take more snails, he completed his trip over three times until he emptied the last basket.

Suddenly, the white sphere increased in size, reaching two meters in diameter, and from its once flat surface, numerous holes appeared, emitting a threatening feeling.

All of a sudden, from within the sphere a creepy voice resounded, "Hehehehehehe…"

Hearing the voice, Shu Himo frowned, "Shut up! Are you laughing at how much I needed to wait?"

Sphere: "..."
