The sphere could not believe it, why the person in front of it, instead of being scared of its voice… was angry?
Does that mean that its voice was not scary? Was there something wrong with it? What's the point in living with a voice that was not scary?
Somehow, after a single phrase from Shu Himo, just a couple moments from when the sphere was born… it already had existential problems…
Meanwhile, Shu Himo could not believe it, the invisible barrier was still there! Didn't the boss fight already begin? Wait… this wasn't one of those times where the boss needs to tell a phrase... right?
Sighing, he knew that he had to help once again to start the fight of this bugged floor... perhaps, the reason it was called tower of despair was actually due to how boring it was this boss?
With such weird questions in mind, Shu Himo stared at the traumatized sphere, and lightly smiled, "Dear sphere, don't you have a phrase to say?"
Obviously, he had to be gentle when saying it! If he were to scare the sphere into not saying its phrase… what if the place remained bugged?
Hearing that the freak in front of it said such words, the sphere felt enlightened, that's right! It was a proud sphere, how could it worry about its own voice? It must be the one in front of it who was weird!
"Hehehehe… did you think to have scared me? I lived too long to being deceived by such words!"
Hearing the boss, Shu Himo was dumbfounded, he never tried to scare it! But at least it began talking… better not to say anything until the invisible barrier vanished…
Seeing that the freak in front of it did not reply, the sphere was convinced, he must be completely scared of its voice!
"Hehehe… now, prepare to resist my attacks… if you don't die from them, you will be able to pass through to the next floor…"
Hearing the creepy voice, Shu Himo's eyes lit up, this was the phrase! Taking immediately his scythe, he promptly slashed toward it… only to notice that it vanished! Did it teleport?
Suddenly, he felt an impending threat from behind, and used a stacked [Hopper_x3] out of reflex, jumping in the air, almost crashing his head on the ceiling.
*BOOM!*
From the spot where he once was, he could only see a small cloud of black smoke, coming from the explosion he just heard.
Upon this sight, he frowned, 'He can make explosions? But I did not hear any chant!' Turning backward abruptly, he saw that the sphere was around twenty meters of distance, and one of its numerous holes was releasing smoke.
On top of the sphere, the number 142 was present in red, startling Shu Himo, what was that?
As if answering his doubt, from another hole a small explosion resounded, and as the number 142 fell to 141, an object came out from the hole, launched at a fast speed toward Shu Himo.
Noticing for a moment the form of the object, Shu Himo was dumbfounded, 'Isn't that one of the snails from before?!'
Quickly using a stacked [Hopper_x2] dashing toward his right, Shu Himo dodged yet another exploding snail.
Knowing that the attacks were easy to evade, Shu Himo smirked, "That's all?"
The sphere was shocked, to think that he was that fast! But that attack was not the best it could do…
Abruptly, from many holes, small explosions resounded as numerous snails flew everywhere.
Shu Himo was dumbfounded, why was the sphere shooting randomly?
Yet, the snails suddenly curved mid-air, and from their once random trajectory, all aimed toward Shu Himo!
With a slightly grim look, Shu Himo looked each of the snails and knew that evading all of them would be hard.
Normally, someone in this situation would try to dodge laterally or retreat, but who was Shu Himo? Surely he was not going to do such an obvious choice!
Stepping forward, he used a stacked [Hopper_x4], vanishing suddenly from his position due to his speed, and passing between a couple snails, he reappeared an instant later in front of the sphere, with a smirk on his face, "I got you!"
The sphere was horrified, what kind of speed was that?
Ignoring the numerous snails exploding behind him, Shu Himo slashed with the scythe toward the sphere, after all, how could he let such a chance be wasted?
Yet… the scythe appeared to hit an invisible barrier, and did not manage to cut the sphere!
Shu Himo frowned… what was he supposed to do if that annoying barrier never vanished?
The sphere, reminiscing about the barrier rejoiced, hope was not yet lost!
"Hehehe… I'm sorry to inform you, but until I use all my snails the barrier will always protect me! And I have now decided to stop using snails, let's pass our time together doing nothing here!"
So shameless! Hearing the sphere's nonsense, Shu Himo felt troubled, so this floor was bugged for real?
"I will give you two choices, or you die, or you die." Looking coldly at the sphere, Shu Himo could not wait to split it in half, why did this floor seem to be more about losing time instead of fighting?
In front of Shu Himo's cold eyes, the sphere felt frightened, what was he going to do? Seeing him taking out a greatsword, it was puzzled, but it did not dare to underestimate him.
"If you don't want to continue, then I'll whack you from one side of the room to the other!"
Even if it was impossible to hurt the sphere, he could still mentally torture it by throwing it all over the area!
About to slam the greatsword on the sphere, he suddenly heard its trembling voice, "I give up, I give up! Just leave me alone!"
Dumbfounded from its reaction, he then heard the voice of the system.
[Congratulation! The User managed to win against the tenth floor! Soon revealing the staircase toward the eleventh floor... if the User wants to persist ascending the tower, advance on the staircase and if instead, the User desires to stop, return to the entrance or say "I give up!"]
"Eh? But I believed it was possible only to complete a floor by killing all the monsters?"
"No... no... if the monster loses any will to fight and gives up, it will be counted as if they died..."
Hearing that she sphere replied to his question, Shu Himo was surprised, 'The monsters here are aware of being in the tower and of its rules? Also, did the sphere just called itself a monster? Do all the monsters call themselves monsters?'
Sighing in doubt, he glanced at the quiet sphere lying on the side, and nonchalantly walked up the stairs, going toward the next floor.
Noticing that Shu Himo walked upstairs, the sphere sighed in relief, 'I hope that I won't have to deal with that freak anymore…'
