Sadist Red Point [C140]

After clearing the tenth floor, Shu Himo went on the eleventh floor, yet he did not find a lot of challenge on it either, swiftly clearing it.

After the tenth floor, every floor had again the usual appearance, having a grey colored floor, walls, and ceiling.

Twelfth floor, thirteenth floor, fourteenth floor… none of them posed a big challenge to Shu Himo, who managed to clear them without suffering a single scratch.

Only on the twentieth floor, the whole area changed once again, increasing the difficulty.

In front of Shu Himo, there wasn't a monster at all, while the staircase was already in the area, about two hundred meters of distance from him.

Yet, seeing the stair from the entrance of the floor, Shu Himo had a grim look.

Like on the tenth floor, the walls were covered in darkness, limiting the visibility in the area. However, that was not the reason for Shu Himo's grim look, it was instead the ceiling!

Contrary to the usual grey of the ceilings on the other floors, on this floor's ceiling, multiple squares appeared everywhere, all colored in yellow, as a small light appeared to flow within them.

Suddenly, from one of the squares, the flow appeared to increase, and as if being released, it darted toward the ground, maintaining a speed too high, one that Shu Himo was not yet able to evade.

*Frrr!*

As the thunderbolt reached the ground, it discharged in a radius of multiple meters, as if warning anyone not to dare come close.

Most likely, even just a single lightning may be enough to incinerate Shu Himo, were he to fail on evading it.

Shaking his head, Shu Himo knew that he had to find a solution.

At that moment, he shook his head in regret, had he learned some blacksmiths skills, he could easily complete this floor! Sadly… inside the Tower of Despair, both the [Infopoint] and the [Book Records] were blocked, so he could not obtain the required knowledge to try.

Analyzing the room in search of hints, he noticed a small red point, formed by a circle with barely a centimeter in diameter.

The red point appeared to be quickly moving, yet, a weird peculiarity about it, was that lightning never hit close to it as if it was scared of it.

At that moment, the red point was barely ten meters of distance from Shu Himo, yet in the middle of those ten meters, a yellow square was present on the ceiling, signaling a possible spot from where lightning could fall.

Knowing of the danger from the lightning, Shu Himo took out a single silver rod, and threw it slightly toward the left side of the red point, as he used a stacked [Hopper_x4], jumping slightly toward its right side instead.

As silver was a better conductor compared to the human body, the lightning was naturally attracted to it, so it fell on the silver rod, discharging next in the ground.

As Shu Himo was dashing without touching the ground, the lightning did not affect him in any way, and he swiftly stepped on top of the red point… or at least that was his plan.

Noticing that the red point was moving far away from him, he was shocked, "Come back here!"

Feeling cold sweat on his back due to the possibility of a lightning falling on top of him, Shu Himo quickly used a stacked [Hopper_x4], frantically chasing the red point.

Stepping on it, he smiled for a moment, yet he saw that it kept moving! Not having other choices, he continued to chase it until he could find a chance to dash toward the staircase.

Only after five minutes of desperately running, did he finally notice that he was less than ten meters away from the staircase, and his eyes lighted up in excitement.

Knowing that another yellow square was in his path, he promptly threw a silver rod slightly toward the left side of the staircase, as he used once again a stacked [Hopper_x4], dashing toward the staircase.

*Boom!*

Crashing on the wall, Shu Himo fell with his butt on the staircase, yet he did not seem to care at all, instead breathing heavily due to the stress.

Even if using [Hopper] multiple times for five minutes straight was not tiring in itself, the red point acted all the time as a sadist, changing continuously its path.

That, coupled with the fact that a single lightning was enough to claim his life, Shu Himo had no margin of error, so he dared not get distracted at any moment.

Suddenly, a moment before walking on the stairs he heard a voice from the ceiling, "Hehehe… you cleared this floor, good luck on the next ones…"

Shu Himo was enraged, there was actually a monster in the room? And it was him who was throwing lightning everywhere?!

Hearing the usual notification of having completed the floor, Shu Himo cursed at every floor which number ended with 0, as he was now sure that they all had weird monsters.

Walking upstairs, he resumed in clearing the 'normal' floors, and compared to the earlier floor he did not have many problems, making him wonder for what reason they were higher than it.

Shortly later, he reached the thirtieth floor, finding himself once again in a weird situation.

In the thirtieth floor, everywhere was full of moving walls, but not normal moving walls, as some were randomly exploding!

With a slightly grim yet annoyed expression, Shu Himo ran everywhere in the labyrinth formed by the moving walls, and only after thirty minutes of search did he manage to find the exit, completing the floor.

Afterward, he completed most floors without too much struggle, while cursing at some others, until he reached the eightieth floor, where he finally found the first real hurdle.
