Having Bad Luck [C142]

After the eightieth floor, Shu Himo managed to clear the next floors easily, and was now in the entrance toward the ninetieth floor, which presented a once again different area.

The floor was composed by unnumerable squares, with a blue color yet black border.

The walls were the same, yet every square had a different color, composed in red, orange, yellow, and green.

The ceiling was completely black, conveying the impression to not exist, at a height of over hundreds of meters.

Connected with the ceiling by a thick cable, a cube barely a meter long revealed itself. The cube presented a question mark on each of its faces, yet even such simple mark gave Shu Himo a bad feeling, as if it was about to cause big headaches.

Walking inside, Shu Himo did not lower his guard, holding his scythe in case of any sudden attack.

Suddenly, with a, *Woon* sound, the cube appeared to change, and each of its faces altered from its former question mark.

The six faces obtained a drawing on top of each one, possessing various forms:

-A red cloud, reminiscent of the explosion from a nuke;

-A lightning,

-A blue ball,

-A tree,

-A number '5',

-An exclamation mark.

Shu Himo was dumbfounded, why every face appeared more absurd than the other?

Suddenly, something unexpected happened.

*Tack*

With a soft sound resounding everywhere, the cable holding the cube broke, as the cube began falling. Shu Himo was shocked, did the place already break?

*Tud*

Crashing on the ground, the cube rolled, as if trying to decide which face it should pick. Only after a couple seconds, the cube finally stopped rolling, while showing the blue ball sign.

Staring at it, Shu Himo frowned, "What is going to happen?" Having a bad feeling, Shu Himo looked around everywhere in the area, yet he did not see any difference.

Suddenly, in the middle of the room appeared a small sphere of water, barely possessing a meter in diameter. The sphere of water continued to grow, until it reached around five meters in diameter, when it abruptly changed behavior.

As if considering Shu Himo a target to eliminate, the sphere used its own water to form water blades, sending them toward Shu Himo as a method to attack!

Over 20 water blades were sent flying toward Shu Himo, all going at a high speed!

Gazing at the water blades, Shu Himo was not worried, and simply used a stacked [Hopper_x3], darting toward the cube, wanting to destroy it before new problems could appear.

Slashing with the scythe toward the cube, he noticed only an instant later that the cube already vanished. He was annoyed, why the monsters of every floor kept vanishing like that?

Looking up, he noticed that the cube was back again to its former position, as if preparing itself to fall again. Surprisingly, the side with the number '5' from before became 4… did that mean further four drops were needed to complete this floor?

Noticing such thing, Shu Himo grinned, it appeared that this floor was going to be easy… or at least that was what he thought.

The water blades that he thought to have eluded, changed direction, moving once again toward him, continuously increasing in number, supplied by the sphere of water.

The discovery shocked him, were they going to pursue him all the time? Using a stacked [Hopper_x3] to get away, Shu Himo suddenly heard another, *Tack* sound, as the cube dropped again.

Frowning, Shu Himo reminisced about the lottery draw of online games… for unknown reasons, he always had the worst luck on those.

*Tud*

Crushing on the ground, the cube rolled for a moment, and afterward, it stopped on the red cloud.

Shu Himo could not believe it, just a moment before he was just reminiscing about his bad luck… and then a cloud reminiscing a nuke got chosen?!

Thinking about the explosion from a nuke, he felt his back covered in cold sweat, there was no way he could resist that!

However, instead of the expected explosion, numerous small holes appeared on the floor, and a red gas came out from it, generating a cloud of gas on the ground.

Covering the entire floor up to a height of around one meter, the gas gave a dreadful feeling to Shu Himo, not knowing what type of gas it was.

Even if he had already tested that a normal poison would not work on cultivators, he could not relax as he did not know if the gas was an even stronger poison than the ones from Earth.

At that moment, seeing that the water blades were about to get close, he took out his greatsword and slammed it on top of them, sending all the water to crash on the floor.

Smirking due to the success of his plan, Shu Himo put back the greatsword in the storage, but to his dismay… he suddenly noticed that the water began moving again!

It appeared that whacking it wasn't enough to stop it!

Frowning, he was about to think of a solution, when he abruptly heard yet another, *Tack* sound, generated from the cable breaking once again.

Not having time to worry about it, he continuously used stacked [Hopper_x2], jumping everywhere in the room, both evading the water blades and trying to not inhale the gas, breathing only when in mid-air.

A couple moments later, the cube crashed on the ground, generating yet another, *Tud* sound.

Crossing his fingers, Shu Himo continued to repeat in his mind, 'Lucky draw, lucky draw, lucky draw…'

The cube rolled for just a couple seconds, stopping lastly on the exclamation mark.
