A Single Week [C151]

"A disaster?!" Hearing Hu Zan they were stunned, the Shu Kingdom who they believed to be extremely weak actually had such influence?

"Indeed, as the primary pillar of protection, if it gets breached it means that the demons were able to overcome the defenses, breaking the stall present in the war."

Hearing that the Shu Kingdom was going to be attacked, Shu Himo was worried, so he first decided to gain some information about it, "What kind of strength will their attack possess?"

Startled for a moment by his question, the man replied, "I guess you have seen the Met-3? The attack will most likely be held by many Met-3, and some Met-2, an empowered version of them."

Met-2 are an empowered version? Does that mean that a Met-1 would be even stronger? With this small concern in mind, Shu Himo nodded as he asked, "Is there something else I need to know about the attack?"

"There should be nothing else, but the battle will mostly be between Longevity Realm experts and the Met-2, that is not something you can meddle with, so I suggest to stay here."

So the fight will be held between Longevity Realm experts? With this thought, Shu Himo nodded to himself and began walking away as if ignoring the man's advise to not go, "Thanks for the information, now we need to go back."

Even if the fight was not one that he could take part, he could not help but worry for his family, so he wanted to return as fast as possible.

"Wait, are you planning to go back to your Kingdom? That's stupid!" Hu Zan was dumbfounded, he warned them not to go only to protect them, surely not to send them to their death!

While normally he would not care for someone he had just met, the three were ones even acknowledged by the Demon King! Such talents can't be wasted, as they may be useful for the future, perhaps even being able to change the tides of the war!

His exclamation only made the three smile, "What's the point of living in fear? Are you telling us to cower here, while the Kingdom may get destroyed?"

Knowing that there was no other choice, he could only dejectedly say, "I'm sorry for you three, but I can't allow you to walk to your deaths, your talents can't be wasted."

At that moment, unlike the previous time when he wanted simply test them, his cultivation level as a Longevity Realm was fully pressuring on top of them, attempting to intimidate them into stop walking.

However, contrary to his aim of intimidating them, Shu Himo glanced him for merely an instant, as he said, "If you dare to stop me… and something to my family happens without me being there to save them, you will deeply regret it."

He then walked away, followed by the other two, who had similar nonchalant expressions.

Neither his voice nor his gaze had carried a hint of coldness or anger. His answer was devoid of emotions, as if what he said was the only invariable outcome, a fate that couldn't be avoided no matter how hard he tried.

Such conviction stunned the man, making him hesitate on how to act. Before he could realize, his back was covered in cold sweat, leaving him standing still without being able to stop them.

At that moment, he felt that if he had dared to stop him and something really happened, his remaining life would not be longer than a single week. Such feeling left him in disbelief, how could someone two whole realms weaker than him create such oppressive sensation?

-----

Walking outside of the room the three didn't bother looking at the rest of the city and immediately ran toward its outside, until they reached a spot where no one was watching.

After he made a small concealing formation to stop anyone from seeing what was happening inside, Shu Himo looked toward Phylia, "Can you transform into the fastest thing you can think of?"

Nodding, Phylia's body began to morph, until her appearance became completely different from before.

Her skin was covered in scales devoid of hope, possessing a black which held a hostile radiance, able to blind the eyes. Her chest held a heart of burning fire able to incinerate anything. Her eyes became intimidating enough to crush even the strongest will, as her claws appeared able to lacerate even the sturdiest opponent, to mere flesh and bones.

Her current form was that of a mighty dragon, resembling a being which could only look down at the others.

Aura Azusa was stunned, Phylia can transform?

Even Shu Himo was dumbfounded, the pressure that Phylia was emitting already overcame his when using [Intimidation lv_1], 'How is this possible?'

[Dragons… the race which dominates others, the only race which no one dares to nominate, a mere cultivator of this world can only faint upon its sight. Obviously, that would be in the case a true Dragon came. That form is merely an imitation.]

'The dragon race doesn't exist on this planet?'

[Were a single dragon to come here, the current war would be instead a hopeless resistance against it, where all the races uselessly collaborate in hope to survive.]

'Wait… system, I remember that she previously morphed into a dragon during the fight in the dream, but she was still deemed as 1 star... are you sure of that definition?'

[The system already said time ago to not consider the User's Dream Kingdom as something reasonable.]

Shrugging his shoulders to the system's answer, Shu Himo smiled, "Good job Phylia, this way we will be able to come back faster! Remember to not make anyone notice you while flying."

Nodding, Phylia let both Shu Himo and the stunned Aura Azusa climb on her back, and she then started flying.

As she was part of the party, there was no need to hold secret the fact that Phylia was a slime to Aura Azusa, and anyway, in a situation where they had to come back as quick as possible, it was not a secret they could keep.
