The Unknown Side

"Trinix was created a billion years ago by the mother of all dragon gods.

It has 5 continents.

I am from Orz, the continent in the center of the world."

Chen Mei Ling continued to stare at him with sparkling eyes.

"......"

"That's it? Isn't there more? Who's is this dragon god mother? What are the 5 continents? Tell me more about Orz too," she whined.

"....."

"The mother of all dragon god was the one who created the world of Trinix to give her children a safe haven away from the chaotic spatial storms.

The Mother God was birthed from the chaos, a place that permitted no life.

She had separated some of her scales, giving birth to the first generation of dragon gods."

Jasper continued to narrate the history of Trinix to her, as she sat there listening attentively.

Unknowingly, a few hours had passed as he talked nonstop, just getting to the adventures of King Lanford and the 5 heavenly knights he was a part of.

He looked at the girl sleeping with drool leaking onto her arm, and finally stopped, smiling faintly at her.

He let out a soft sigh.

Quietly picking her up, he carried her to her room, and gently laid her down onto the twin sized bed.

He looked around her small room, spotting a bookcase full of books.

Walking up towards it, he randomly picked one up.

He did not understand a single word as he stared at the cover and flipped to a few pages.

Once again, in just a few minutes, he was able to connect the dots, and easily read through all of the 128 books in under an hour.

He was finally able to understand a bit more about this world, Earth.

He looked out through the window next to the bookcase, then towards the only clock in the room, before walking back out to the kitchen.

Feeling quite confident in his newfound knowledge, he tried fiddling with the stove.

[Hmm. 'Raising a furry harem' said one had to press a rune at the center of the magical tool in order activate the fire magic.]

He studied the stove, unable to locate any runes whatsoever.

Locating some dials on the side, he tried turning them with little success.

They would not budge.

He accidentally pushed it in while trying to force it to turn, and was finally able to turn it.

Hearing a few rapid clicking sounds when it hit the symbol resembling a small fire, soon a flame popped out on top of the stove.

Wholly satisfied with his founding, he placed a semi-spherical pot on top, before realizing he had not prepped nor knew how to prep any of the food in this world.

Turning the dial back to its original position, he rummaged through what should be a refrigerator.

Taking out a few greens, meat, and eggs from an unknown creature, he brought them back over to the counter top right next to the stove.

He took down a big rectangular knife hanging on the tiled wall in front of him, and roughly chopped up the ingredients in the blink of an eye.

The sounds coming from the kitchen woke Chen Mei Ling from her deep slumber, and she grouchily got up from her bed and made her way out towards the sound.

When she walked into the kitchen, she saw Jasper, with his back facing her, adding the final touches to the dish.

She stood there unmoving, the light reflecting a slight wetness in her eyes.

Hearing movement behind him, Jasper turned to face her, raising the corners of his lips almost unnoticeably.

"I was just about to go wake you. Come help me set the table."

She turned her face away and hurriedly wiped the corner of her eye.

She gave her biggest smile to Jasper.

"Okay!"
