Visiting The Demon Land

Out in the woods, a blond girl with a red ribbon in her head were screaming and running for her life. Behind her was a large T-rex like dinosaur chasing her.

"Uwaaa! Kalan, you bastard!" Blond Lunch was screaming on top of her lungs while running as fast as she could.

*Pa Pa Pa Pa* She continuously sprayed bullets at the dinosaur, but it barely did anything to it's thick hide protecting its body. A few sparks could be seen on it's hide whenever a bullet hit it.

High up in the air, a small black dot could be seen. Kalan was sitting on his cloud, watching the scene unfold.

"Ahahaha! That's what I call comedy. It's exciting enough now, right?" Kalan laughed happily, though it wasn't loud enough for those down below to hear him laugh.

"I wonder if this is how Piccolo felt when he threw Gohan out in the wild..." Kalan thought curiously.

Next day Kalan met an angry Lunch.

"You bastard! Die!!" Lunch held an Uzi in each hand aimed at Kalan and sprayed bullets like her life depended on it.

*Pa Pa Pa Pa* *Pa Pa Pa Pa*

Numerous bullets flew out toward Kalan, but for some reason, all bullets seemed to have hit an invisible wall a meter away from Kalan.

*Clink Clink Clink* The bullets fell down to the ground one by one.

"Are you a magician...?" Lunch looked dazed at Kalan. It was like an invisible wall was blocking all her bullets.

"No, this happens once you're strong enough. To a martial artist, bullet's are like flies." Kalan looked at Lunch as if he was looking at an idiot. The so called invisible wall was achievable with a simply application of Ki.

"See how exciting it is to hunt monsters and beasts? Of course you might want to use martial arts to kill the dinosaur. These weak bullets won't hurt it at all." Kalan smiled 'kindly' at Lunch.

"Also, don't call me girlish. It won't do you good." Kalan kindly advised.

Kalan kindly brought Lunch back to Kame house before continuing his world touring trip. This small break was quite enjoyable for him, he had his fill of laughter.

"System how much Origin Energy have I gained?" Kalan asked the system.

[Beep! Host has gained 372 units of Origin Energy in the last 2 years. The current average units of Origin Energy gained per year is 340. The system currently has 8,223 units of Origin Energy.]

"Not bad, it's going up quite quick now." Kalan's lips curved up into a smile.

Kalan teleported to Enma's office.

"Hey Enma, long time no see!" Kalan greeted.

"Oh! If it isn't Kalan! How're you doing? You sure have grown alot! You're an adult now!" Enma happily greeted back. Last time he saw Kalan was when he was still a little kid 5-6 years old. Now Kalan was an adult.

Kalan asked for a permit to Demon Land, although he could probably force his way in. Since he didn't know where the entrance was either, he came here to ask for both.

Enma knowing Kalan's strength wasn't worried about his safety and gave him the location and a medallion. Kalan quickly flew toward the location and found several villages and a castle.

King Kress was sitting on his throne depressed when he suddenly saw Kalan fly in sitting on his cloud.

"Y-You? Who are you?!" King Kress looked shocked, it was his first time seeing a man flying inside his castle on a cloud.

"I came from there." Kalan pointed up.

"Heaven?!" King Kress looked at Kalan in doubt.

"Now tell me, where is the entrance to the Demon Land?" Kalan didn't beat around the bush, he wanted to sightsee the Demon Land.

"Ah? Are you going to Demon Land? Please save my daughter, Misa!" King Kress went down on his knees and begged.

"Alright, just bring me there." Kalan agreed.

King Kress brought Kalan to the entrance of Demon Land. Kalan could see one of the doors open, there was a golden sword stuck to the ground which stopped the giant door from closing.

King Kress explained that sword was Shura's sword, Shura had put a curse so it could only be pulled out after he was defeated.

"Well, I'm not sure I'll be able to open the door if it's closed... So let's just keep it open until I leave." Kalan did not think a curse would stop him from pulling out the sword. But he wasn't sure if the Demon Land was actually in a different dimension like Hyberbolic Time Chamber. If so, he might not be able to open the door on his own.

The large entourage of the King sent Kalan off as he entered the entrance with calm steps.

*Tok Tok Tok*

Kalan walked through the hallway, it was quite dark and gloomy. The only source of light came from the lit torches on both sides of the walls.

"Halt!" A giant stepped forward and blocked the path.

"You'll need a permit from King Enma-sama or Kami-sama to pass through." A demon woman said. She had red hair and long pointy ears. Unlike the giant, she was the size of a human.

"Here." Kalan threw the medallion he got from Enma.

"This?! How? Isn't this King Enma-sama's personal medallion? The holder wields the same authority as King Enma-sama!" The giant and the woman exclaimed in shock.

"Gora, Demon Land's guardian greets lord." The giant bowed.

"Mera, Demon Land's guardian greets lord." The woman also bowed to Kalan and gave back the medallion.

"I'm Kalan, no need to keep the formalities. I'm simply here to sightsee." Kalan said dismissively.

"Lord Kalan, there aren't many things to sightsee in Demon Land... How about I bring you to King Shura's quarters? King Shura is preparing his wedding, many demon dwellers have gathered to celebrate his wedding.

"Mhm, sure. Lead the way." Kalan nodded.

Gora stayed behind to watch over the entrance. Mera dutifully guided Kalan deeper into the hallway. Kalan saw several dilapidated quarters as he followed Mera deeper into the hallway. There were a few menacing demons, but once they saw Mera, they hurriedly scurried off.

It was only when he arrived outside King Shura's quarters that Kalan saw the difference, the quarters behind were dilapidated in such a manner, Kalan even believed it were slums. But in front of him was Shura's quarters, it looked like a noble's resident.

He could see many bags of food, gold and silverware. It seems that the demons had went out to pillage villages everyday to bring them back for King Shura's wedding celebration. King Kress had told Kalan about the demon's pillaging every day. The villagers that did not manage to evacuate in time would normally be killed by the demons.

There were many demons gathered in Shura's quarters. But although they stood on two legs and had two arms, they looked really ugly and grotesque. They did not have the slightest resemblance to a human. The only ones that looked similar to humans were Gora, Mera and Shura.

"I wonder if looking more human-like appearance determines their strength?" Kalan thought as he watched the many demons cheer and shout happily. The strongest of all the hundreds of demons he had seen were those three that looked most similar to humans.

Kalan had thought there was much sceneries to see, but the Demon Land was just a dark and gloomy place. Most places were like slums, some even uninhabitable by demons, with purple liquid bubbling, anything that set foot on it would be melted down and not even the bones would remain. Even the purplish fumes that rose up occasionally was deadly.
