Miya Asama

"You have to move your body in unison with your circulation of Qi, not just do both at the same time" She corrected him.

Ezekiel had a sudden understanding as he heard her. He realized that if while circulating his Qi it would cross across certain parts of his body, and if he moved those body parts in accordance with the movement technique, then he would improve faster.

He went to the clearing and began to try it out, as the woman told him. He began to move in unison with his Qi circulation, and even though his movements were not perfected he was still moving much faster than he was before.

The woman watched this in amazement. His movements slowly began to improve, as he was getting faster and faster. It would normally take one at least one month to master the movements like this, and a genius would take a week or so to master to this level.

She knew however that his first time practicing this was today, because she watched him the whole time. 'This kids innate talent is extraordinary, and just when I was looking for a disciple' she though as she watched him practice.

She quietly watched him until he stopped practicing. He finally was able to master the first stage of the movement technique thanks to her, without her it would have taken him another few days to get to this level.

Ezekiel turned to the lady and bowed as he thanked her. "Thank you for guiding me" he said.

She waved her hand as she said "Hey kid what is your name?".

"Ezekiel" he said respectfully. Although he did not know who she was, he knew she was powerful, or at least knowledgeable based on what she taught him. He was also taught by his parents to always respect elders, so this was ingrained into him from an early age.

"Oh, Ezekiel. Well I have been traveling around looking for a suitable disciple, but all the ones that I have met thus far did not meet my standards. What do you say, if I give you a test and if you pass it would you like to be my disciple?" she asked him straightforward.

Ezekiel thought for a moment before nodding. Although he had the Monster Farm, he did not have anyone to really guide him on the path of cultivation besides the teachers at Holy Oak, and those teachers would not give individual help to each student.

She clapped as she said "Very well, there will be two parts to this test. I will give it to you tomorrow, so come back here at the same time tomorrow and I will start your test." she said as she began walking away.

Ezekiel was stunned before he yelled "May I ask what your name is?"

She stopped before turning and saying "Well you will be calling me Laoshi, so I don't see why it matters. But I will tell you anyways my name is Miya Asama, if you pass the tests you may call me Asama Laoshi." she began walking away again as she finished talking.

Ezekiel committed this name to heart as he watched her walk away. Even though he was young he noticed some flaws with her. Her voice was smooth like silk and soothing to the ears while her eyes where beautiful and seemed very knowledgeable. However her face would only be considered pretty, and did not match with the rest of her.

He wondered if she was wearing some sort of disguise, be he had no reason to distrust her because of it. He somehow felt that she was a trustworthy person, who would not betray him, so he did not think much about her disguise.

He told himself that if he had the chance, when he was her disciple he would later ask her about her disguise, but now was not the time to think about it. He felt that she had a reason to hide her face, and all people had their own secrets, so he let her have hers.

He turned and started walking back to the dorm, because it was already dark out. There was no curfew on the students, but they were still required to go to classes on time the next day, and if you missed them then you would be punished by the disciplinary committee.

Although Ezekiel had an appointment with Asama Laoshi tomorrow, he was still excited about going to class. This was his first time at a real school, so he did not know what to expect the next day. He was a common villager dreaming about the big city.

He arrived at his dorm, and went to bed. He was exhausted from his tough training just before, and fell asleep almost instantly.
