Let me start of this review with an overly-quick summarization of my thoughts on the web novel's contents 8 chapters into the story: Enjoyable but lacking in a couple departments Let me start off with the first area, the release of the chapters. It's quite unpredictable, and that's a problem. The chapters come out a bit whenever and the author (Totally not me) has been a bit lazy. Although, in the latest chapter(ch8), the author(totally not me) did make a statement to release one chapter per week which at least is something. The second area, the characters. The most interesting character of the cast is without one doubt our 'special' protagonist, Kenjiro Asukara. The character deviates from our average original web novel protagonist who's usually; Cocky, self-confident, half self-aware. Kenjiro is pretty much very different from those protagonists, he feels like he's the worst person out there and tries to live his life by that mindset. The other characters are somewhat interesting. The only characters we have gotten some character-development from are pretty much Anami and Narino so far which is a bit lacking, to say the least. But, the comedy that is generated by the characters are quite funny so it's okay Next area, plot. The plot of the story isn't really something to cheer about. The story is basically Kenjiro trying to lose the powers he gained randomly and give them to someone who deserves them, but the other characters(who've forced him into a club full of powerful people) try and succeed to stop him. So far, the plot isn't that great but is somewhat interesting. Next area, Comedy. The half lackluster plot can be excused because from what I can see, the web novel is mainly a comedy novel. In that area it fairs well, there are a couple of times where I laughed out loud while reading the chapters. The comedy is mostly generated from Kenjiro and his stupid thoughts and actions and then a 'normal' person's reaction to it. Some of the scenes progress in a very satisfying way and keeps one interested Last area; summary and tips. The story as a whole is quite enjoyable to read and is sure to make one laugh once or twice, but the plot and characters do need some working on. Characters like Ibuki, Sora, and Eraijo feel quite 1D as of now. It also feels like the author(totally not me) is depending quite a lot on the quirkiness of Kenjiro for making the chapter interesting. It almost feels like the author(totally not me) had an interesting character idea and then decided to make a story out of that. It kind of works so far, but I feel like it's going grow stale after a while. That's only what I think though. That was my review, I hope the author(totally not me) reads this and fixes the areas I mentioned Real talk(rohtua eht em morf(<-- backwards)): I'm so meta that I make extremely (un)funny jokes outside of the chapters now. But seriously, I don't think that my story deserves 5-stars so I didn't rate it that(like quite a lot of other authors tend to do). The review itself is a blend of real thoughts and joking. Well, that's it for my shenanigans now. If someone's reading this before having read the series; Please do give a read and take the review with a grain of salt. (I also totally didn't spend like 15 minutes writing this unnecessary review)
