King Adonis (4)

Kavira quickly ran inside the castle where a dim grand hall was at the entrance, she hadn't paid much attention to the commotion going on with the crowd of women screaming. She hid in a corner and reached for the messaging flower, hoping to speak someone and warn them about Lucas. "You must be very nervous if you came in here to call someone instead of meet me."

Kavira jumped in terror nearly dropping the flower, she had been so focused on Lucas' final expression that she couldn't bring herself to be cautious of anything else. "I'm sorry. Who are you?"

She may have appeared scared at first but she promptly pulled herself together. The man she had turned to face bore the most intense hazel eyes and seductive smile she had ever seen. His slick black hair matched the stubble on his face. But she was no stranger to attractive men, her boyfriend being incredibly enticing himself.

"I'm Prince Adam, the one that is supposed to be up there in the crowd," he pointed towards the crowd of women that were still squealing in unison. "I'm meant to find a wife soon, except no one had caught my attention until now."

His seductive smirk could only do so much to an average girl but he picked the wrong girl. "Forgive me but I'm not interested. I'm just looking to get a job here and work to make some money."

"Did you not hear me? I'm a prince." Adam was a bit shocked to hear the girl turning him down, as a royal he had many women fall to the floor just to kiss the ground he walked on and this woman in front of him rejects him.

"Oh, I heard you. I'm just not interested." Kavira took her leave heading towards a corridor to what seemed like a workers cabin of some sort.

Adam watched the girl move further away but he couldn't believe it. He's really found the one, for years he had waited to meet the perfect woman that wouldn't be bewitched by his irresistible charm. He let her go, he will eventually be able to see her everyday if she works here. He slowly began to plot his conquest for the beautiful maiden. "Alas, I have found you."

"Are you kidding me? The suns already down and we still haven't reached Keero. Did we get lost or something?" Linx was becoming frustrated with Nyla's accusation but after an hour and a half went by he started to believe he probably was lost. He looked around to see if there was anything that can show the location of the city but there was nothing.

"We'll have to get off here and hopefully find some people that can tell us where to go." Jacko landed in the woods where a creature was laying. It wasn't like any creature Linx or Nyla had ever seen before.

"This is a firefly being. They're extremely rare to find, this one's been injured. It looks like someone may have been here to patch his wounds already." Brenda had read about these beings, anyone who helps a firefly being would be awarded with good fortune. "It looks like we are too late, it is said that this firefly brings good luck to those who help it. He's already been helped and is just sleeping."

Linx walked a little closer the the creature. "Please help me stand." The creatures voice was faint but Linx could make out his words. He shuffled to the creatures side and aided him to his feet. "Thank you. That woman helped me by patching my wounds and I couldn't even get up just fell right to sleep."

"You all must be friends with her. Not many people carry those messaging flowers around with them." Linx and Nyla reached for their pouches a little paranoid. "Don't be alarmed. I can sense magical artifacts and that woman was carrying many in her possession."

"The girl you're talking about, did she had green eyes and auburn hair?" Linx was hopeful to hear about Kavira, he missed her so much and was hoping to have her in his arms soon.

"That's the one. How did you know?" The creature was a bit suspicious but he then remembered that he had suspected they were friends because of the messaging flower. "Oh right, the flower."

The other three vaguely laughed, they didn't want to see rude. "Do you know where this girl went?" Nyla looked at the creatures face with hop, maybe they didn't have to be stuck in these woods all night.

"She headed east to Keero. It's about ten minutes out there with your thunderbird." The group was extremely grateful. They were on Jacko ready to fly up again when the firefly creature called to them once again. "Take this horn. If you're ever in desperate trouble, it'll help you."

"What is your name, firefly creature?" Linx was thankful for a blessed gift but he still didn't know the creatures name. "It's Jiminy." With that the goodbyes were said and the group of three made their way to Keero at night.
