The Other Fiena (2)

Kavira couldn't sleep well, Linx had disregarded what she wanted to say and just acted like she hadn't said anything about her connection to Clain to begin with. She didn't want what happened to come between her and Linx but she wanted things to be honest and open between them. She felt like this was now putting a wall between them because he was acting like nothing happened. Alas, she tucked herself into his arms and tried to sleep as best as she could.

By morning everyone was up and ready to walk into the outer rim. No one was happy to enter it but it was what had to be done, it looked grotesque to even breathe the area inside the dark burnt area that seemed to be all they could see to the north. Kavira didn't hesitate and was the first one to step forward into the outer rim.

"Dalton, lead the way." Dalton nodded and for a few hours they walked before lunch time came around.

"How far would you say we are?" Clain wasn't sure if he could ever grow used to seeing such a broken down region, the fact that this place existed was eerie enough. "About another two days walk from here heading slightly north west."

At the thought of having to endure this hell whole for much longer bothered so many people, there expressions may have been sour but Kavira's was calm, focused. This place didn't bother her all that much, probably it was because this body was born here, in the outer rim just like Lucas had said.

"If it's going to take us that long to get there then it is best if I just start getting used to this dump. I have a feeling that we are going to be here for a pretty long time." Nyla wasn't too happy with her words but she always spoke her mind. Unfortunately, for everyone else, they felt the same way, nothing about this felt like it was going to be quick. Brenda witnessed the dull mood was sinking in too deep and no one was enjoying themselves.

She had lost the beautiful colors of nature but there was something interesting about this place. It was like a presence that couldn't be explained only felt. This land was completely burnt but there was no ash making it that much more interesting. "We should head out soon, the more ground we cover the better." Linx stood up from his seat, leading everyone else to do the same.

The ancient library was filled with with text that had research and stories about the history of the Lost Realm. Leena admired the scenery when she entered the Fairy Domain, the lights, the color, the fairies were all florescent and beautiful especially their wings. She was presented to the High Elder and a couple of members of the council by Damon's request.

After reading further into the text, Leena learned that every single magical being that was a part of her realm also existed here. They had gone extinct three thousand years ago but nobody can say why. Nothing about any magical weapons in these books, or about the magical teachings or just about magical people in general; information was limited. There was a story that stood out most to Leena. It was about two sisters and their brother, like an old children's tale that parents would read to their kids at night.

There once was three gifted triplets, the oldest boy was born with the mark of a Minsho, the sister in between was born with the mark of a Mertas and the youngest sister was born with the mark of a Fiena. She was the first of her kind. Having all the power to herself, the other two triplets were furious and grew up with jealousy in their hearts. Out of the three, the youngest was always favored by their Queen, mother and King, father. After the triplets finally came of age, the King named his youngest daughter the successor of his magical kingdom, this tormented the older siblings even more. Their rage had taken over their heart and mind completely, to them their little sister was an omen that needed to be locked away.

The story was meant to be continued but the following pages were so old and there seemed to have been a spill on the book causing the ink was faded. Leena was a bit dejected by the fact that she couldn't continue the story but she was glad she came, it only took her a day to realize that there were no easy answers to this world. Damon may not follow her after she leaves this place, it wasn't her concern. But maybe, just maybe, following his sister and her friends might be a better choice than wondering around alone in a world she doesn't know.
