What he saw seemed to be a large cabin and a holographic presentation of a bald, short guy with purple skin wearing some strange but delicate clothes.
"Wait, isn't he an Alis? But what is he speaking?"
Lucas couldn't understand the language and ignored the holograph, which repeated itself again and again.
He searched around and collected some slates that had fallen down from what resembled a library of sorts.
Time passed by...
As for the assassins entering the room, it was nigh impossible because the door was locked.
Lucas knew the only way to get out was to either learn this language and the Alis race's knowledge or create an explosion at the door.
He didn't mind doing the latter, but the assassins would come to know of them, which would be bad for his health.
After searching around for a while, he found a tattered ancient book placed inside one of the shelves under the table.
After going through the first page, he couldn't understand anything and started contemplating, "Maybe harvest will work. Let's give it a try."
To his surprise, a progress bar showed up. He was delighted and started going through the text.

Lucas then smiled as he could now understand some of the language. After reading and guessing the labels on shelves, he suspected the slates he had picked up earlier to be a collection of modern Alis books. Lucas picked up one of the slate-like structures and said "Activate" in Alisian language. The slate shook and then information started to hover over it.
Lucas could figure this out by understanding some of the words written on the slates.
Lucas was elated by the successful activation of the slate. He then started harvesting all such slates.
After some time, the much-awaited alert came.

Lucas could now understand the language completely, and the first thing he did was to turn his attention to the holograph. Lucas had found much useful information from all the books he read, such as:
The Alis race was one of the most ancient of all races. There were five great ancestors of Alis who together forged the Life Force of Alis by sacrificing their own cores, which gave birth to the first generation of the Alis race, and thus they started forming civilizations and evolved.
Besides Planet Alios, the other four empty cores were present in other Alis civilizations across the galaxy.
The Alios planet was the weakest of all other four main civilizations. Lucas also learned something very interesting:
The Alis's greatest taboo was reverse-stimulation of the core, that is, activating the core to re-absorb the Life Force of Alis.
There were many more slates that had research info on the same. Also, the information of a civilization's core was kept hidden so that the weaker civilizations of the Alis could be colonized from time to time to sacrifice them as Life Force for the core's continuous working.
This was unavoidable to keep the Life Force within the core good enough, which was then used by the Alis's kings and nobles like elixirs. He also came to know that only the Alis were able to absorb or sacrifice their Life Force to the core.
Lucas, after going through all the slates, finally gave attention to the holograph.
