Chapter 8:

Jaselle didn't want to look abnormal and also eventually joined in.

They chatted until dinner was over and Jaselle proceeded to her room for a study session. She whipped out her study materials and started studying, totally forgetting about the text message Jason sent. An hour and a half passed and she took a break from the intense session. She found her phone and started scrolling through her social media platform for some joke of the day. While scrolling, she remembered her conversation with Jason.

She clicked open the chat app and saw a long message from him. She read through his message and was shocked. "How could he do that! I was worried for nothing! I'm gonna get back at him tomorrow!" Jaselle thought that it was unfair for her to be treated this way. She replied with a "I'll get back to you, just you wait and 😂😈 emojis." She broke into a grin and sniggered as she pressed the send button.

Totally expecting a completely different reply, Jason was pacing up and down in his room after dinner, frantic for a reply. Finally his phone screen lit up and showed a notification from Jaselle. He unlocked his phone and went straight into the app. He saw her reply and couldn't help but just chuckle. "Looks like I was worrying about nothing..." He thought. "I'll be waiting 😉", that was exactly what he sent.

Both of them can't help by just smile at the messages they've sent to each other. They retired for the night while thinking of tomorrow's day.

--Tomorrow--

Jason strolled around Jaselle's home as he waited for her to be come out of her house. A familiar figure finally appeared, as they greeted each other.

"Good morning, did you slept well?"

"Yea.. How about you?"

" I slept well! Now, let's get going before we're late!"

Both of them rushed off in the direction if school. They reached just before the gates closed and walked over to their respective classrooms.

Nothing much really happened, except that as usual, Mrs Lee was going on and on about her Mathematical theories. Students could only pray that time passed faster so that they could go for recess.

"Ding... Ding... Ding..." Recess is finally here... All of the students were secretly cheering in their tiny hearts. If found out, Mrs Lee would definitely say "Recess isn't here until I say so." Hence, we've all know not to cheer out loud.

"Okay, we'll stop here for today, class stand."

"Thank you Mrs Lee..." The class echoed in an agonising manner as they hoped to get to the canteen soon.

The moment we finished greeting, the boys leapt out and broke into a run towards the canteen ground. Just then, Jason's and my eyes met. We smiled and Jason pointed outside as he mouthed "I'll wait outside", indicating that he'll wait for me. I nodded in agreement as I gave him another smile.
