Jungle and the Beasts (2)

In the jungle under the blinding sunlight, a strange sight of a boy climbing down the tall red trees could be seen. He had a beautiful face, with a sharp chin and pink lips with long hair that matched perfectly well with his lean physique. He had a perfect body and no one could find a fault in his looks.

Right now, his face was filled with sweat and nervousness as he carefully climbed down the huge tree. His arms were trembling, showing the fear he was feeling and his legs were tightly holding onto the trunk of the tree. After carefully climbing down for a few moments, he climbed onto a thick branch that could bear his weight. Stabilizing himself on the branch, he sat down and let out a sigh.

"Ah! I am exhausted. This is so dangerous and tiring,", Samad muttered with a tired face but his eyes were shining.

"Even if it is dangerous, I feel so satisfied. This rush of adrenaline surely is addicting. Now I understand why people liked to play sports that were extremely dangerous. This dangerous situation seems like something I would not mind experiencing again", Samad thought as he realized that he found a side of him that was unknown to him in the past.

Screech!!

As Samad was resting on the tree branch, he suddenly heard a shrill voice of a beast. Startled by the sudden noise, Samad looked down and saw a beast that was similar to an ostrich but has wings that could raise him up from the ground and a mouth, as big as a hippo. This usual anatomy of the beast was terrifying to look at. The beast was fighting with a green snake that was unusually big and with long whisker, which made him look kind of funny. The snake had somehow climbed such a high tree and was slithering on a tree branch similar to what Samad was sitting on.

The snake was at a disadvantage as it could not fly, but no matter how hard that strange bird tries to kill it, it could not succeed. Samad was cautiously observing their fight with a curious look in his eyes.

"The snake is weaker than the bird but the bird can't defeat it? And it seems like the bird is slowly getting exhausted. Is it poisoned? Well, can't find it strange after all poison is what makes snake's dangerous. But why did that snake climbed up here? He should be hunting in green grass with his green skin. Looks like something attracted him here. ", muttered Samad after analyzing the situation.

Samad carefully looked around to find something that may have attracted the snake here. After searching for a while, his eyes landed on a golden liquid that was dripping from a tree trunk. He observed the snake again and it looked like the snake was slowly trying to move back towards that liquid.

Samad instantly understood that it was what attracted those two beasts here.

"System! What is that liquid?", asked Saman

"It is a mid-grade honey essence. It can help the Soldier Classed beasts to breakthrough to the Commander Class. It is commonly guarded by a Commander level beast so that it could feed it to its brethren."

"So you are saying that a Commander level beast is somewhere nearby?"

"Yes, system will recommend the host to leave this place as quickly as possible. A commander level beast is too much for the host to handle right now."

"You don't say. Of course, I am not going to keep hanging around here. I value my life", replied Samad as he quickly made his way to the outstretching arm of the nearest tree. Saman quickly jumped on it and started climbing down while trying his best to avoid the two fighting beasts.

Soon after a while, Samad finally climbed down that massive tree. But as soon as his feet touched the ground, he heard a loud cry of a beast that sent chills down his spine.

"Looks like the big boss came out of his hiding.", muttered Samad, as he looked above towards the sky.

"I should find a place to stay low for now.", thought Samad as he looked at the lush green fields around him.

Samad quickly familiarized himself with the surroundings and started walking around to find something to eat and a hiding place for the time being. He soon stumbled upon a cage surrounded by some jujube trees. He became happy as he finally had something to eat. He quickly gathered some jujube from one of those trees and went towards the cave. He carefully looked inside to see if something was inside and after confirming that there was no danger, he leaped in and closed the mouth of the cave with stones nearby.

"Today was exhausting. I should take a break now so that I can start hunting tomorrow in my best shape.", muttered Samad as he decided to sleep his tiredness off after eating the fruits that he picked.

And so, another hectic day for Samad came to its end.
