Wrath

Samad was coldly staring at the two helpless bodies who were lying down on the ground. His eyes were filled with bloodlust and anger as he looked at those scums.

His mind was filled with the thoughts of killing them after putting them with thousands, no million times more torture than the one those poor children suffered.

He just could not comprehend how can one be so cruel to children?

He turned his eyes towards the poor kids who were caged and suddenly his eyes met with the helpless, hopeless eyes filled with fear and pain.

Samad's anger grew suddenly, he looked down and increased the pressure making those despicable bastards cry in pain. Their bones broke and they spouted blood. Their eyes were filled with pain and tears as they wailed. They tried to ask for mercy but the pain didn't allow so.

Samad looked at the suffering of those scums and suddenly reduced the pressure.

The feeling of suddenly being able to breathe filled Bakar and Zakar with a hope. They quickly started begging for mercy.

"please....forgive us..."

Samad remained indifferent to their pleas and continued staring at them with eyes so calm that it sent shivers down those fools who still think that they had a chance to get mercy.

"Why did you do that?", asked Samad in a bone-chilling voice.

Bakar was confused at this question, but Zakar was intelligent enough to comprehend the question. He quickly replied in a trembling voice,

"They...they are the children of rebels. Mayor....mayor ... ordered us to capture them ...after...after he killed those rebels. "

"What happened to those rebels?"

"They....are dead", said Bakar who quickly followed up with their conversation perhaps because of silly hope that if he cooperated with the skilled master in front of him he would be spared.

Samad felt his heat clutched in sadness and pity as he turned his head towards those poor souls.

"Losing their family and tortured tilled they lost themselves....if they remained alive, what kind of life will they live? " muttered Samad as he thought about their future.

Samad suddenly looked at Zakar and Bakar who were looking at him with eyes filled with expectation and fear.

"At least, I don't need to bother with your future.", Samad muttered with a plain voice.

Before Bakar and Zakar could comprehend those words, they felt pain all over their body, their bones twisted and muscles shred. They felt a huge pressure crush their body as it began to lose its shape. They shouted in pain but the words didn't leave their mouth as their throat was crushed, leaking nothing but whimpers of pain.

Samad removed the pressure and looked coldly at them, he saw as they slowly lose their life while helplessly trying to breathe through that crushed throat. But soon, their life met its end as they fell quite covered in blood.

Samad oversaw their death and spat on their dead body. But that still didn't satisfy him so he with his full strength kicked their dead body causing them to burst in bits.

He then turned his eyes towards the children who were looking at the blood and gore around them as their eyes filled with happiness as they watched their torturers finally get what they deserve.

He didn't speak for a long time as he witnessed the craze look on those children's face. He suddenly felt an urge to kill them so that their life would be spared from nightmares that will likely follow them for eternity. But his thoughts quickly dispersed as he felt the sky suddenly turn dark as black clouds covered the sky.

The bewildering part of this sudden event was that the clouds only appeared on his head as they began to glimmer in lightning. Soon, the clouds began to spin as if gathering their energy.

Samad looked cautiously as he looked at the dark clouds and asked,

"System! What is that?"

"Tribulation, you can call it heaven's wrath."

"So .....what is that wrath doing here?"

"...you killed someone"

"So, ...?"

"..Looks like.... heaven didn't like it"

"Why?...."

"...."

Samad quickly had a bizarre conversation with the strange and useless System in his mind. But instead of helping, the answer confused him even more.

He eyes swept at the children worrying about their security but he was even more confused when he saw them lying unconscious with a bright light covering their body.

He didn't have much time to worry about anything when suddenly a huge bolt of lightning struck him. He quickly threw Billa to the light that covered the children.

Billa who was on his shoulder the whole time remaining silent as he witnessed his master turn crazy and killed two strange creatures who looked like him, helplessly flew towards the children and entered that light shield.

Samad quickly released his whole power and formed a large shield around his body. The lighting struck against the shield and a loud crackling noise covered the whole area. The power behind that lightning strike was massive as Samad quickly knelt down bearing the huge pressure.

He ground his teeth and increased the energy of that shield. He felt current coursing in his body as small charges of lightning sneaking in his shield. He felt the pressure increase more and threaten his life.

Samad continued pouring more power in the shield strengthening it to bear the huge pressure.

The internal energy in his dantian was emptying at an astonishing speed. Samad was getting worried as he felt that the lightning strike was getting more and more powerful but he was slowly losing his strength.

"Damn, I am losing my strength...how much longer will this tribulation go on?", Samad cursed in his mind.

His strength was in the pinnacle of this world, just a level away from the Emperor Class but this single bolt of lightning dispersed all of his pride and confidence. He felt hopeless like a chicken who was about to be turned into a dead meat.

As he was busy cursing his luck and pouring the energy out like a leaking bucket of water, the pressure on him suddenly dispersed, making him, who was pushing with all his strength strumbled to the ground. This was totally unexpected and caught him off guard as he now lying down covered in dust.

"F**k! .....stupid me...that's really old trick but I still fell for it...", cursed Samad but his heart was filled with relief as he looked upwards towards the empty sky. Everything just suddenly turned back to normal; the charcoal black earth, angry black clouds spewing lightning, all of that just disappeared.

"System! Explain..."

"....."

"Do not make me angry.....tell me"

"It looks like it was just a warning. Heavens have special attention on you and do not allow you to kill anyone."

"Why am I not allowed to kill anyone? Those Gods should kill those bastards that murder for pleasure, why punish me, who killed for justice? ", asked Samad in exasperation.

"..."

"F***k! Why did I even bother?", cursed Samad.

After taking a few moments of rest and calming himself down, Samad stood up from the ground and walked towards the children and Billa, who were lying down peacefully.

Samad looked at Billa, picked him up in his arms and turned towards the children. He stood there for a while and muttered,

"Now, what to do about them?"
