Chapter 7: Hong'er (2)

Taking off the lid of the crystal coffin, Chadero put his hand over the little girl's head.

He sent his nen into her and began to cleanse her body and soul. Compared to before, when he was healing Jasmine, his strength and control was much greater. He kept infusing on and on until eventually, a few hours later, the little girl woke up.

"Big Brother!" yelled the little girl.

"Eh?"

She latched onto him and shook him. "Big Brother!" said the immature voice. "Did that old lady tell her something?" he pondered. She kept shaking him and began to tear up seeing no response coming from him.

Chadero ruffled her red hair and smiled. "Hong'er." Hong'er smiled as he ruffled her hair. "Hong'er, do you know how to Sh the ark?" he asked. She nodded happily as an imprint on her hand shined.

"Can you lend me some power?"

She nodded and an identical imprint appeared on Chadero's left hand. "Wait... I can't use this. I have no profound energy!" he cursed silently. "System, is there a way to pass this?"

[Responding to host. You will have to envelop the imprint with your nen and slowly reform it. By doing this, you can transform it into an imprint that will use nen.]

"Damn why couldn't this be like the spatial rings." he sighed.

He focused his nen into the imprint and after a few seconds, it turned into a golden color from its original red. Then he used his aura and his vision blurred. He could see every section and corridor of the inside. With a thought he saw the outside of the ark. It was surrounded by numerous floating islands with cultivators inside them, waiting for apparently the people inside the ark to come outside.

He focused on the cultivators inside and teleported them all outside. Immediately after, the ark began to move and head towards the Blue Pole Star (Initial setting).

"What the hell?" cursed a cultivator.

"Feng Zhao! Damn you I'll– what?!" shouted another cultivator in rage and shock.

The displacement caused the cultivators to fall into chaos. The 5 people sitting on the thrones looked at the fleeing ship. They began to discuss what had just happened with their divine sense.

"It must have been that realm king."

"Indeed, but how?"

"Previous kings have tried, but all have failed so far."

"Precisely. Who was that?"

-------------------------------------------

Blue Pole Star.

"Made it back. Didn't take too long fortunately. Only about 10 minutes I'd say." sighed Chadero in relief.

"Big Brother! I'm hungry!" shouted Hong'er as she shook Chadero.

"... Hong'er I promise you, once we go down, you can get all the profound crystals and weapons you want." responded Chadero weakly. He had to bear with it until she was satisfied.

"I knew it, big brother is the most handsomest and kindest person!" she exclaimed with starry eyes.

Chadero cringed internally. This was the 5th time they had this conversation. She was way too voracious. But now, they had finally arrived. Chadero shrunk the Primordial Profound Ark and put it into his spatial ring. He dived towards Floating Cloud City and used En. A golden sphere of aura whizzed out and spread out over 15 kilometers (9 miles).

"This should be enough" he thought.

He stopped mid-air and felt around for the Purple Veined God Crystal mine. This mine was the reason that the Divine Phoenix Empire had invaded Blue Wind Empire. Although there was said to only be 50 kilograms, it was an astonishing amount for the continent.

Soon, he found it. Hong'er cuddled against his arms as she watched. An illusory golden hand appeared out of nowhere and scooped up the earth. A face appeared and blew on the chunk of land, getting rid of all the earth and leaving only the Purple Veined God Crystals.

"Now that I think about it, keeping a spatial ring at my level would be quite risky... who knows how many people in the God Realm can mess with that stuff. Lets see..." Chadero concentrated hard and brought out his hand. He imagined a box that could store an infinite amount of items and could only be retrieved by him. Golden aura began to rise up from his body and go towards his hand, apparently trying to materialize such a box.

"I can feel it..." he thought as he furrowed his brows. "Almost... there...." More and more nen came out and the outline of a box appeared. Hong'er watched with intrigue and curiosity. She knew not to disturb him once she saw how serious he was.

"Success!" he smiled. On his hand was a golden box, inside it was a bottomless darkness. Another hand appeared and took a small chunk of the Purple Veined God Crystals. It put it the chunk into the box. With a thought, the box disappeared and reappeared. Inside it, the same chunk could be seen floating in the empty space.

[Congratulations Host on achieving your first specialization ability! Gacha +10]

Chadero smiled as he reached into the box and grabbed the crystal. It seemed like the crystals were attracted to his hand and floated towards him. He passed on the Purple Veined God Crystal to Hong'er.

"Uwaaaa!" said Hong'er as her eyes gleamed. She began to munch on the crystal like it was some sort of burger. Taking a small portion of it every time.

"Haha. If anybody else knew you were doing this they'd die of a heart attack." laughed Chadero who was happy with what he had just achieved. If Hong'er wanted, he'd give her the entire thing. But unfortunately, he didn't want to go around stealing or ravaging every resource he found.

"Big Brother, you're the best!" exclaimed Hong'er with glee. "Remember, my name is Chadero." he said as he pinched her cheeks. They had only known each other for a little while, but were already close as family. Because of Chadero's influential nen, people would feel open near him.

Chadero retracted his En and put the crystal into the box. Mysteriously, the box expanded to accommodate the giant chunk. "I'll have to look more into specialization." he thought after seeing this. "It looks like it'll be the key to immeasurable strength."

Chadero looked back at something then left with Hong'er to the residual spirit of the Dragon God.

"Interesting... that was Xia Qingyue back there. I wonder what she was doing." he thought.

Back near the mines, Xia Qingyue's heart was thumping. The level of strength that Chadero had achieved was astonishing to her. "Maybe one day... I'll be able to achieve that myself. Then there'll be nothing holding me back to search for Mother...." she thought. Recalling how their eyes met and

the appearance of Chadero, she involuntarily blushed. "Who was that man?"

Meanwhile, Chadero and Hong'er was approaching the cave where the residual spirit had resided in. "According to my calculations, the Dragon God will dissipate in a month or so. I felt his life force too, so I hope there isn't any problems." he thought. Compared to when Yun Che met him, it had been a year early.

They entered the cave.

"Big Brother Chadero, where are we?" asked Hong'er quietly while munching on the crystal.

"We're here to figure something out." he replied. "Dragon God! Are you still here?" he asked out loud, his voice reverberating in the cave.

A pair of weak looking blue eyes appeared out of nowhere and stared at Chadero.

"Why are you here again... human? W...who is that...!" said the residual spirit as its eyes grew wider and its voice grew louder.

"Yes! You have found her! But why... is she BROKEN!" the Dragon God's residual spirit roared in rage at his discovery. "She is not supposed to be like this! Most of her soul is missing!" he let out a voice of anguish.

"Who... are you?" asked Hong'er with tears flowing down her cheeks.

"My child!..." said the Dragon God mournfully. "Find who did this to her. Her soul is deformed, her sword has been broken from the Heaven Punishing Ancestral Sword and reformed." he said pitifully while looking at Chadero.

"Human, I hope you can heal her..." said the residual spirit who was now dissipating. But before he fully went away, he let out one last roar that could only be heard by the great powers.

-------------------------------------------

In the God Realms.

"GRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

All the various leaders and headmasters stood up in fear and shock. Although the roar had no power behind it, something inside them was screaming in fear. They instantly began communicating with each other and began to setup a meeting to discuss what had just happened.

-------------------------------------------

In the Dragon Clan.

"GRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

All the members kneeled in respect and reverence when they heard the roar. They could understand the emotions behind it. Rage, anguish, sadness, and a hint of madness.

"A dragon on this level still exists? The fate of our Dragon Clan will change!" said one of the leading figures in the clan.

"Fool, is that all you can think of!? The situation within the God Realms will change drastically. It's no coincidence that we heard that roar. I doubt that the other clans didn't either. A great tide will come in and destroy those who are not prepared." said a blind old man.

-------------------------------------------

Back in Blue Pole Star.

"Big Brother Chadero... who was that?!" she cried and stuffed herself into Chadero's embrace. "When I heard his voice, I felt like we knew each other, but Hong'er doesn't remember anything!"

Chadero hugged her. "Jesus fucking christ...." he said silently while gnashing his teeth. "For the Dragon God to get so worked up, this is no small matter. What happened to her?..."

"I hope I'll find some answers soon."

A cold gaze showed itself on Chadero's face.
