I opened my eyes, looking around it was completely dark, but it didn't feel like my own room.
Where the hell? Don't tell me Matthew didn't actually come? Was that a dream? No no no no.
I heard the door open and jumped back, landing on my butt, my hands bearing the impact. I shut my eyes out of fear, still too shaken by the fact that this was probably Jeremy.
I felt a hand on my cheek, and it brought back memories, making me sick to my stomach.
"Please don't. Please I-"
"Liam? What's wrong?" I looked up, relieved to hear Matthew's voice.
He turned on the light.
"Thank fucking God." I sighed in relief.
"You okay?" He sat down beside me.
"I just..I thought it was a dream."
"A dream?"
"I thought you never came."
"You idiot." He reached over ruffing my hair.
I smiled to myself.
"Can I shower?"
He nodded leading me to the bathroom.
"I'll go find you a change of clothes. Towels are in the cabinet under the sink."
I thanked him and walked over to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror.
I looked awful.
Taking my shirt off I noticed my wrists and gut becoming an ugly purple. That'll take some time to heal, No luck in the volleyball team I guess.
I tried to pushed any of the thoughts about the day out, turning on the shower.
I scrubbed my face and neck hard, but everytime I touched my face it would take me back to when he licked it and it made my gut clench.
I continued to scrub my cheeks, in hopes of finally not feeling disgusting. Damn it.
After I was finally satisfied, I turned off the shower walking out.
"Hey lia- why is your face so red? jesus And your neck too, do you have an allergy or something?"
I looked away debating whether to tell him not. Nope, not telling him.
"Um I-"
Our heads snapped to the door as someone shouted, walking in.
Perry looked at me his face immediately turning red.
"What the hell are you guys- sorry to interrupt ahem I'll wait outside." He said awkwardly closing the door behind.
I looked down i am wearing a towel what's he talking about?
"No, Perry!" Matthew shouted.
Oh wait, if you walk in through the door, the bed blocks my lower half making it look like i'm-
"This guy I swear, Liam I left you a change of clothes on the bed. I'll go talk to him. " He said walking out.
I chuckled putting on my clothes. He really thought these would fit me? I sighed walking out, seeing a tensed Perry on the couch.
He noticed me, his face becoming concerned. Before I knew it he was over hear hugging me a little too tightly.
"Uh Perry, I can't breath.." I managed.
He let go.
"I'm sorry Liam. I'm really sorry. I should have told you, I just- it scares me too much to think of it." He teared up.
"I was being selfish. I'm still scared of that guy, even if I'm strong enough to defend myself. And I just feel guilty that you had to go through-"
"Oh god shut up Perry. It isn't your fault, I'm okay. He's gone now, don't worry okay?"
Matthew walked up behind him, lightly punching his shoulder.
"Don't cry you shithead, you'll make everyone cry. "
"More importantly, how did your date go?" I smirked.
"Date?"
"With Zach?"
He looked over to Matthew.
"You told him?!"
"Yeah so?"
"What if he tells Zach I like him?"
I couldn't help it, I laughed looking at them argue. He was so whipped.
"Don't worry I won't tell him." He blushed, punching Matthew.
"You can punch him, but you still have to tell me."
"Well it wasn't a date, I mean he didn't think it was a date." He looked down smiling.
"It was still great though, so I'm happy with things the way they are."
I heard my Phone ring from the kitchen counter. He must have brought it with him huh?
"Why aren't you home, I told you I'd be coming over. "
"Hello to you too John. And you said you'd come next week."
"Oh did I? Well I can't live alone, lemme live with you please." I could almost imagine his puppy face he makes to convince people.
"I can't see you so you puppy face won't work on me. Come over next week not before that."
"But-"
I cut the call putting the phone down. I knew this would happen.
"If you're okay then I'll leave now. Ask me if you need anything okay?"
I smiled at him, waving and wishing him good luck with Zach. That lucky idiot.
"You live alone?"
"Nope, my parents went to visit my sister."
He paused for a bit.
"You're staying over right?"
"Am I?" I joked, knowing I was.
"Okay then, I'll go make dinner." I hummed looked at him wear an apron and put a pot of water on the stove.
Can I just say, he looks damn good cooking- okay Liam stop you sound weird.
"So, who's John?"
I took my eyes off him, realising what I was doing, my face turning red.
He stopped cutting.
"You guys are moving in together, so he's your.... boyfriend?" He said still looking down.
"Huh? I would never. He's such a pain in the ass."
His face turned red too.
"NO I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT! He's my step brother!"
"Oh." He covered his mouth with his wrist, Looking back down.
So fucking I adorable I could scream.
-------
After dinner, we decided to watch a movie like the other day.
"Hey Liam?"
"Hmm?" I said looking over.
"I don't say this a lot, but I'm glad you didn't blame Perry. If you would have, it would be understandable, but well-"
"Ofcourse it isn't his fault. It wouldn't have changed anything even if I knew, because Jeremy told me about it. The day when I decided to just up and go home, I was with him in the classroom." He looked at me, his eyes widening.
"Y'know, When I first found out about Perry, I hated myself for never noticing what was going on. Every time, I'd just believe whatever lie he told me. And the same happened again. " He looked down with teary eyes, turning away.
Perry crying, really did make everyone cry huh?
I walked around, jumping on the bed, forcing his hands away.
"Don't look at me you idiot. "
"Shut up. You did well, back then for Perry, and today for me too." I leaned over to reach his head, so I could comfort him for once.
I used the back of my very long t-shirt, wiping off his tears that pained me to look at.
"I'm sure he's thanked you before, stop blaming yourself, you were there when we needed you." I pulled him into a hug, not caring about my wrist.
"You idiot." He mumbled, but didn't pull away.
We stood there for a bit, me standing on the bed giving me a better look at him. Is this how tall people feel? Plus, His hair is so soft, feels great to run my hands through it.
I wish he'd always be this adorable. I thought to myself. Or so I thought.
My eyes widened as I realized I said that out loud. He looked at me in shock.
"Adorable?" He chuckled.
"I didn't say that!" I looked away.
"Yeah right." He got on the bed instead of pulling me down, leaning down and resting his face on my shoulder.
"Thanks liam" He whispered and turned on a movie he selected, sitting down to watch it. My face turned red as I grinned like a moron sitting beside him.
