Synopsis
A coming of age story set in medieval Japan. A friendship between a young fox god and his human childhood friend is built on deception, but grows stronger and purer as it's driven by common purpose. However, the vast differences of the worlds they live in can't be ignored, as their relationship is frowned upon by both humans and spirits.
Kogitsune's feelings for his human friend go beyond friendship. He will fight for their bond with everything he has, but it will consume him and change him.
‘Kogitsune’ is a retelling of the famous Noh theater play ‘Kokaji’, a story about a swordsmith who requests the help of the Inari god to build a sword for emperor Ichijo (980-1011).

As always, it’s a great novel. I especially love how the MC is a nonhuman since I always enjoy nonhuman MCs over human ones. It lets you see the world in a new light. The details are astounding and it’s very easy to follow and understand. Overall the novel is great and I am adding this to my library immediately!
I enjoyed it! Somehow the MC appeared cute to me. It really portrays how important early education from parents is. I can't help worrying about the MC mental state because the people around him seem shady. How overprotective I am. XD
Really good storyline. Have angst and emotional scene. Hope there are more chapters. But sadly it already end. Just want to know what happen next to them. Hope the next book is as good as this one.
