The upperhand - I

Evelyn felt differently before she even opened her eyes from her sleep. The difference was, the bed felt different. The bed that she had been on was moderately fine but this one was heard. That could meet only one thing, she was on a different bed And she had been transferred to it while she was asleep.

Her eyes snapped open and the first thing she saw was the ceiling that was actually different. Hence, her suspicion had been confirmed.

The moment she tried to get up, she was sent back down.

What? How? She frowned and when she was unable to raise up her hands, she glanced down only to find them cuffed to the bed.

A hospital bed to be exact.

She was bound to her hospital bed, her hands and ankles cuffed to the side.

"What the hell?" What was she doing here? When did she get here?

"Hello!"

Evelyn's eyes went to the source of the voice in a second and found a woman standing there dressed in a white coat.
