Dinner (1)

"Jian, babes you coming to my quince, right?" Nicki asked pulling Jian for a hug as they met in the courtyard out front. Jian smiled hugging her back as she replied, "Of course, I can't wait to see this beautiful girl become a young lady." Nicki smiled as pouted, and a comment was heard from behind them, "Aww that's so sweet, I am gonna barf." They turned to glare at Nickolas who was hit with a quick jab in the gut by his sister.

He gasped in a bit of air as she said, "Ya take more air into that useless body of yours, idiot." Jian smiled as she reached out to consult Nicki, "Hey, don't stress about him, he's just jealous. Plus, stress is bad for your beauty." Nicki busted out laughing as she held her stomach clearing fake tears. "That's why I love you, I wanted to get a quick check are you bringing a date on Sunday?"

Jian gulped as she smiled, she forgot to tell them this week. "I am, but he doesn't go here, is that a problem?" She asked in a soft tone. She was serious since she didn't want to bring John without Nicki's consent.

Nicki shook her head saying, "Nah, I just wanted to see cause you know, but I will see you then." She turned her attention to Nickolas before saying, "Let's go, Nickolas, the cars here," he nodded saying bye to the other person he was talking to as well.

"Bye guys," Jian said as she walked towards her mother's car. She sat down and answered her mother's daily question then asked, "Mother have you done a background check on Johnny?"

It was a strange question, but her mother nodded, "I did it the first day I met him, why?" She asked as Jian smiled. She thought for a few seconds before saying, "It's nothing big just his behavior from last Saturday is bothering me a little, remember I told you his aura changed when talking to that boy." She paused as Jessica glanced at her.

Jian continued after a few seconds, "Anyways we are going to Nicki's quince on Sunday, and I want to make sure I am not taking someone who isn't welcome."

Jessica smiled saying, "Don't worry, if I had noticed anything dangerous in his background, I would have made sure to keep you away." She passed before she suggested, "Jian why don't you invite him for dinner tomorrow, it would probably make things less awkward between you two before the quince."

Jian thought before asking, "Is this not an excuse to make me clean?" Jessica laughed a little before saying, "No but that's a good idea, we can clean today and buy groceries tomorrow, but first, you need to ask him, right?"

Jian nodded as she started typing on her phone. It didn't take long for a response to come as they drove into the parking deck. "Mother John's asking if he needs to buy anything for the dinner tomorrow?"

Jessica shook her head saying, "No I will go shopping tomorrow so he doesn't need to buy anything." Jian nodded and they entered the home. The two cleaned up after a break and then went each other's way.
