The wedding

The wedding. Where do I begin?! After we had come back from the forest, Nora and Ella had stayed awake the following night, making my wedding dress lovely, while mother had left to prepare the church. Nora and Ella were bouncing from wardrobe to boxes, boxes to drawers, drawers to finally a glass case where my tiara was set. They exhaled, grateful that they had found one of the last accessories for my appearance. My wedding dress was stunning.

It's was a sleeveless dress with thin straps, it clung to my chest tightly and my waist, then from below, the skirt flowed. It was just normal until Nora and Ella touched it with their artistic hands. There were swirly floral patterns in a cream and glitter thread, stitched at the chest of the skirt. They found a semi-circle transparent white cloth (with some glitter) and stitched it from the beginning of the skirt's left side so it looked like two upside-down petals blossoming. Ella clipped in a fake white rose at the start of the upside-down petals. Ok, enough with the dress. The next step was the make-up. They started out with my eyes. I closed them and Nora began with a light shade. Then she used faded brown, from the first corners of my eyes and then slowly brushed the shades together but not all of it, just enough to make it look like it had wore away.

A black eyeliner with glitter that glowed like crazy diamond. From the end of my eyes, she applied with only line and then on my eyelid she made very heavy lining. She quickly brushed a light pink blusher on my cheeks. Last from it was a lipstick with a color of light red. I pursed my lips after the lip stick was on them. Nora then brushed my hair back and pulled out small hair that won't fit in a bun at the right of my face so it looked like a fringe. She brushed it for the last time and then tied my hair in a ponytail. The used three fingers and slide them through my hair and made three sides.

She clipped the first two away from reach. The first hair strand she curled it around loosely around the ponytail and then clipped them in place. The second one was done the same way but a bit closer to it's peak and following with the last one was tighter. She dug two fingers from both her hands onto the first and second strands and then slowly, with full skills she pushed them inwards and outwards, like another rose. She was a genius.

Ella did the simplest part. She fastened a diamond necklace on my neck. Rain drop earrings and a hand-to-wrist size rhinestone bracelet on my left hand. The final from all of it was when the draped the veil on my face which was long from where it covered my face, almost reaching my waist and over my head they placed the tiara.Nora and Ella helped me to stand up on my heels.

"Come along now," Nora said softly. I followed her to the gates and for the first time we were using a White Jeep which was also decorated with colorful flowers. Nora held my dress from the end so it won't touch any dirt and helped me sit in the Jeep. They had to take another Jeep because the seats next to me were covered with my dress . The Jeep drove me to the church which was a few yards away. I was not looking forward to this at all. This is it. This is where everything changes. The Jeep stopped and the driver came around and opened the door for me. I stepped out from the Jeep and stood there until I spotted John in a white suit standing at the entrance to the church, waiting for someone, clearly me because father wasn't here or he would have taken me in. John strolled his way to where I stood and hooked his arm for me. I took his offer.

"Where have you been?" I frowned.

"I-I don't know" he said, his eyes staring at the ground.

Here I was, leaving my family forever just because of a stupid contract. If I was in charge I would've shredded the paper into pieces right at their faces.

The music of the entrance was played as I came in the view. When we walked in the church i had to give credit to the remodeling done inside. It was enchanting. With a single step at one time and every time we did, someone gasped. The women standing at the right side and the men on the left side, all eyes catching every move I made. All women wore full sleeved blue dresses and the men wore black suits. My eyes sweeped on the priest who stood their in the middle. He was short and had grey hair. Damen was standing on the right of the priest. Damen wore a white suit too. His back faced me and I could tell he wasn't going to bother to look or swoon at me like the others. When I had walked up the steps and stood next to Damen, who then faced me with a blank expression. The priest began to speak. I listened each word that he said. I wanted to disagree with every vow he said but I knew I couldn't. The priest finally came to the ending of the ceromony when he said, "Do you, Merissa Konan take Damen Enigmar as your lawfully wedded husband; to love and cherish all the days of your life?"

I would never love him or cherish him.

"I do," I said flatly. He repeated the same for Damen.

"I do," he said. When that was said, Nora came forward and stood next to me and Ella next to Damen. They had a red pillow in their hands onto where the ring was placed. Damen picked the delicate silver plated red ruby ring up and took my left hand, sliding the ring on my ring finger. I did the same for his pale hand which was really cold. Really awkward since the church was warm. The marriage was announced.

"You may kiss the bride," said the priest. Damen lifted my veil up and leaned down to me. I tilted my head upwards and closed my eyes in another touch of his lips on mine.
