Chapter: 5 Branding

We are getting jobs that is all I thought about when we waiting for these elders to come and so I realized is I have no idea what jobs I could possible get. I thought about and just decide to just go through the interview and hope for the best. That was all I could do I mean I couldn't prepare to say what I needed say to get the job, I couldn't change my clothes to something more presentable because I didn't own any and me and the other goblins form the cave where all naked and not a single person here said one thing about it. I'm starting to worry about how my life is going to be from now on, but I guess I can only complain to myself and hope for the best.

It took a while before Grazedow came back with the elders and I was quite surprised to see them. There were six of them and each looked different and wore clothes or armor to pretty much show what they did. There was one with leather armor and had a crossbow about half the size of his body, one that wore a rode and carried a staff that was tall as him, two that wore full plate armor, one that wore a special kind of robe that I have difficulty explaining and the last one that wore black pants and carried a pick axe. The six elders line up to each other and Grazedow walk in front of us while carrying a bag and said to us "listen up brats you all have been sleeping, shitting, and eating for about two weeks. Today though every one of you will have a job so all of you worthless brat can start to contribute to our Red Iron Fist tribe. Our tribe is simply to live in you brats will be branded with a symbol of the Red Iron Fist, then after we put a healing slab on the brand to let it heal one of the elder will chose you to work for them. Now then you come here and get mark with our tribe glorious brand."

Grazedow pointed to one of us and that goblin went to him and Grazedow said "kneel" and so the goblin did and then Grazedow took out an branding iron that had the symbol of a fist. He than called one of the huge goblins here but compare to Grazedow he was rather small and told him "fire" and than a the huge goblin made a fire appear on his hand and then Grazedow heated up the branding iron till he took it and told two other huge goblin here and pointed to the goblin kneeling and said "hold him down". The two huge goblin held the kneeling and Grazedow took the branding iron and pointed it to the upper left of the back where his heart should be and started to brand him. The kneeling goblin screamed and struggle to move away from the iron but the two huge goblins didn't let him move, but the other goblins where scared of what was happen and some even started to run away till Grazedow roared "STAY" and we stayed.

I felt that fear again but this fear was far more powerful than the fear I had felt before and I tried to resist it.

I looked a my notification and was surprise {Will} what was that, I couldn't pull up my statues to look at my new gain because Gazedow was done with the goblin and a new strange goblin came and started to treat the newly branded goblin. The new strange goblin wasn't as big as the other huge goblin but he was bigger than us and he wore a white coat that had long sleeves. He treated the branded goblin with a cloth that looked wet with something and applied it on the burn mark and then said something I couldn't understand and nodded to Grazedow. Grazedow then said "thank you healer Halg now who is next", and all of us took a step back in fear thinking about how we would go through that.

Grazedow was scowling at are fear 'come on man you think anyone would want to volunteer for that sh*t what is wrong with your head' I complained in my head. Grazedow grunted "Bart, Litron bring that one here" the same huge goblins that were holding the branded goblin went to get their new victim. They were really fast despite their huge side and soon the struggling goblin was brought to Grazedow he got a bucket some where and poured something in it then dip the branding iron. He then took out the branding iron shook it and then reheated the iron with the fire the huge goblin was using and then he aimed at the same spot of the new kneeling goblin and started to brand him as well. The goblin screamed in pain and tried to get away, but couldn't because he was being held down by Bart and Litron, and we were to terrified to move and simply just watch. The branding was soon over and Healer Halg treated the goblin the same way he treated the previous one and when he was down Grazedow smirked and said "whose next".

I wanted to run just run away from here but I knew I could escape their were to many huge goblins here and Bart and Litron were to fast and I'm guessing the other may just as be as fast. I couldn't get away, so I just decide to get it over with, and said "I'm next." Grazedow looked at me with surprise and said "you can speak well that strange Eh whatever at least you have the balls to do this get over here." I walked to him and realized that he really is massive and so are Bart and Litron especially when I kneeling to them. Bart and Litron held me and soon I felt it "AAAAAAAAAHHHHH" I screamed in pain such terrible pain I could feel my skin my flesh being burned being marked

I could barely make out the notifications because of the pain and I only realized it was over after Bart and Litron let me go and I fell and laid on the ground in too much pain to move. The pain the burning pain that was like I could feel my flesh being cooked by being dosed in flames. Then out of nowhere I felt a refreshing feeling on my back and the pain started to go away and I heard "thank you healer Halg now who is next" I lightly chuckled 'this guy is like an NPC saying the same lines over and over again, and I was right. Grazedow would call on one of us then tell Bart and Litron to hold him down then brand him and then thank healer Halg for treating us after the branding was done.

This went for about eight more goblins until when one was getting branded and screaming for his life he just stopped. Grazedow cursed "Malrkailel f**king dammit one of them is gone" Bortez "there is always some who can't handle the brand lets just hope there are only a few of them and not a lot" Grazedow smirked and said "Oh yeah lets bet then I put 10 gems that at least 5 of the 28 you raised die form the branding" Bortez smirked and said "I say only 3 will die" and then they shook their hands on it, and soon the branding continued, and just like Bortez said only 3 of the goblins ended up dying. Bortez laughing "HAHAHA I win Grazedow pay up" Grazedow frowned "Malrkailel damn your luck" he cursed and handed Bortez something but I couldn't really make it out. "Ha if I won't so lucky I would have been dead a thousand times by now"

Grazedow grunted "yeah yeah alright now healer Halg cast the spell to get these guys up to let the elders choose," healer Halg said "ok" and soon I saw a huge glow spread to all of us and felt some kind of power in me that was making me feel better. I could feel me strength returning to me and soon I could stand again and the once all of us where standing Grazedow yelled "alright now you brats are all know men of the Red Iron Fist tribe now you will all wait as the elders examine you and choose which of you they want hire."
