Chapter 12 A Way Out

Samantha sits in the truck "we have to ram them if we want to get past" Chloe sigh's "well this will be fun" she steps on the gas the sound of loud crunches and meat hitting metal Samantha hold's on to her seat. As the truck smashes into the undead Chloe jerk's the steering wheel to the left and then the right.

Then in second's the drive becomes smooth again Samantha let goes of the death grip she had on the chair "I'm never driving shotgun with you ever again" they get to a large gate where bandit's stand guard one of them steps forward. "hold up you guy's here to drop off the cargo" Samantha nods the bandit grabs a radio and talks into it "okay you can come on through."

Samantha look's at Chloe "well that was easier than I imaged it would be" Chloe look's at Samantha "don't say that we still need to get Jason out of here now that is gonna be difficult." Samantha gets an idea "park the truck here" Samantha jump's out of the truck it hide's behind a few large steel containers Samantha goes in the back and find's a box that has a black cross sprayed on it.

She opens it with a crowbar that lays on the floor next to her the lid pop's open Chloe jump's up next to Samantha and whistles "damn this is gonna be fun" Samantha smile's "oh let's go do this."

Jason sits in his cage rubbing the mark that was left from the needle Jake tap's on the floor of the cage "so how was...." BOOM Jake is cut off by a large explosion the guard's scramble to action the scientists run around in panic. Another explosion goes off making the cage shake Jason stand's up and the wall beside him blows open up chunks of rock metal and dust goes everywhere.

Two guards run out of the giant hole in the wall and grabs the key's and unlocks the gate Jason is pulled up still dizzy from the explosion he shakes his head Jake follows behind slowly. Jason is sat by a wall he see's Samantha kneel next to him in bandit clothes he smile's "thanks for busting us out" Samantha nods "come on we need to hurry."

Jason grabs a handgun and follows behind Samantha they get to a Humvee they all jump in Samantha sits beside Jason while Jake and Chloe are in the front in Chloe turns to Jake "and you are?" "I'm Jake thanks for helping us out" they leave the bunker and head for the exit from the city Jason leans back on his seat. He see's something jump in front of the Humvee Chloe tries to gain control of the slip but she sends them up side down Jason smack's his head on the roof of the car knocking him out feeling blood trickle down the side of his head Jason see's Samantha beside him she is fully unconscious.

Chloe and Jake are outside of the Humvee Chloe pulls out Jason and then help's Samantha out Jake is knocked to the ground by someone Jason elbows the person in the head Chloe joins in as well punching the figure right in the face Jason goes for the rib's but he gets kicked in the face.

Chloe punches him right in the chest making the figure fall the on knee but he stabs a blade into her leg Jason gets up and knees him right in the face knocking his hockey mask off and a few teeth. Jason nearly wants it not to be true but the person is Henry Samantha's brother he look's different more paler but he doesn't have black line's.

Chloe pulls out the knife and throw's it to the ground "I hate dirty fighter's" a loud roar is heard and night starts to fall Jason run's over and pick's up Samantha who is still unconscious "we have to hurry up and find shelter before night fall."

Jason run's through the street's of the city Chloe and Jake carry Henry to a apartment building where they find a mess trash and blood is everywhere the receptionist desk with a pile of mail and a old computer on a desk and kitten calendar on the wall. Jason goes up the stairs to an open door Jason walk's in the cold hit's him quickly it's dark in here but Chloe turns on a lantern she has with her.

The room light's up with a pale light Jason goes in the bedroom and lays Samantha down he goes back in the lounge Jason grabs a chair and place Henry in it and ties him around in rope that Chloe gave him Jason gets a better look a Henry black line's are all over his face and neck that are now visible his skin is very pale he wear's fully black clothes.

Jason see's one little tiny hole in the back off his neck where all the black line's connect to Henry wakes up blood trickles down his nose "well isn't this lovely the test subject has me tied up." Jason kneels down in front of him "what did they do to you Henry?" Henry smile's showing red stained teeth and a few missing Jason swears he see's a bit of meat in between the teeth "everything they made me stronger faster and more dangerous."

Jason look's at Chloe who has a bandage wrapped around her leg she shakes her head they both know he's turned feral making him very dangerous Jason punches him hard in the face knocking him out cold. Jason sits down a loud crash is heard and Jason and Henry fall through the floor Jason smack's into metal pipes and wooden beam's Jason's hit's concrete that makes him hurt all over.

He hears Henry's voice "well this just got interesting"
